So I went to see the Descendents last night at the House of Blues in Anaheim with my wife DeeDee. Yeah it was overpriced, ridiculously overcrowded, and the beer was expensive, but man they put on an awesome show. They played everything I wanted to hear, Myage, Suburban Home, I Wanna Be Bear, Bikeage, etc. Did not disappoint at All(no pun intended). This band has a special place in my heart. You see, I started listening to them when I was 13 years old. That was 1983. They just did it for the 7th grade Clint that was just starting to listen to punk rock. It grew from there, Fear, Circle Jerks, Dead Kennedy's, to name a few. I just remembered being amazed at how fast and short the songs were, and they cussed a lot, and they told our parents to shut up, and to be Wild in the Streets, and for Nazi Punks to Fuck Off!!! I loved it, and still love it to this day March 7th, my 56th birthday!!! I hope to go to punk rock shows until the day I die!
