In the exhibition A Good Hard Look Jade van Doesburg and, Baroeg Mulder explore their fascination for everyday objects. By presenting something banal within the context of the white cube, such as a sidewalk, images on a monitor reminiscent of a reversing camera, and an archive of handwritten notes, the ordinary becomes uncanny.

Working Title is pleased to present new works by Dion Rosina at Minor Attractions. MA 2026 takes place at The Newman Hotel, 13–17 October 2026, bringing together over 75+ international
participants and a programme blending contemporary art with cinema, music, publishing and performance.

Dion Rosina (1991) is a Dutch Afro-Caribbean painter. His work often begins with collages made from a variety of found images, which he manipulates and reassembles into his paintings - a work process heavily influenced by sampling culture found in HipHop music.

Rather than focusing on a single image, Rosina is more interested in how different themes, ideas, and visuals can influence one another through the act of assembling, which mirrors life itself, where everything is interconnected and constantly shaped through interaction. This approach reflects his broader interest in how meaning can be constructed through symbiotic relationships between different fragments.

Rosina is influenced by themes such as spirituality, existence, alternative histories, and image culture. His paintings move between abstraction and figuration, using a range of techniques to create atmospheric, layered, and cryptic compositions that typically contain human presence and invite deeper contemplation.

Rosina began his practice in 2020. Since then, his work has been exhibited at institutions including Museum MORE, museum Rembrandthuis, Drents Museum, and Museum Catharijneconvent, as well as Alice Amati Gallery in London, Documenta Fifteen in Kassel, Art Brussels (represented by Working Title), Stevenson Gallery in Amsterdam and more.

He won the Royal Award for Free Painting in 2026 and was previously nominated for this award in 2022, 2023, and 2024. In 2024, he was also nominated for the Volkskrant Visual Arts Award. That same year, he participated in the Bed-Stuy Art Residency in New York City.

In the exhibition A Good Hard Look Baroeg Mulder and, Jade van Doesburg explore their fascination for everyday objects. By presenting something banal within the context of the white cube, such as a sidewalk, images on a monitor reminiscent of a reversing camera, and an archive of handwritten notes, the ordinary becomes uncanny.

Through painting her grandfather’s notes, Van Doesburg investigates what happens when language loses its function. The notes were mostly written as reminders for himself, according to his own logic. But what remains of this archive now that he is no longer there to organize and decipher it? While Van Doesburg holds these memories, to the viewer the notes become a collection of signs, dates, and visual repetitions.

The exhibition runs until 18 October at Working Title

NAP+ continues today.

We’re excited to show a solo presentation of Tumelo Mtimkhulu.

Mtimkhulu is an artist from Johannesburg, South Africa, working between Johannesburg and Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He investigates the language and architectures that are foundational to the established social reality. He treats the established social reality and the way in which it shapes the experience of upbringing, labour, loss, geopolitics, imagination and language as suspect. This is done through poetry and material abstraction of the prescribed forms that aid the making up of a singular social reality.

Tumelo Mtimkhulu, Stanza 1 (2026), etching on plaster, 23 x 32 x 5 cm; Tumelo Mtimkhulu, August is not dusty, it’s windy. (The dust depends on where you stay.) (2026), etching on plaster, 26 x 53 x 5 cm

Join us today from 18:00 until 21:00 for the opening of A Good Hard Look at Working Title.

Jade van Doesburg (1999, Amsterdam) is a visual artist and curator. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK) in 2025. Her practice brings together painting, drawing, video, and installation.

Van Doesburg explores how memories, expectations, and interpersonal relationships shape our perception. She draws on personal imagery, found materials, and traces from archives, while deliberately leaving their meaning undefined. She translates intimate details into empty spaces; images partially dissolve, and everyday objects take on a psychological charge. Her work moves between intimacy and distance, recognition and estrangement.

Alongside her own practice, Van Doesburg is co-founder and curator of the project space Mad Meg in Amsterdam.
