I’m a bit rusty but this song may be bringing me back to life ✨ Who else has this song on repeat?!

Dance fuels me like nothing else 🔥

It’s been so long since I’ve made the space to dance just for ME again. But my body has been craving it so much!

If you see this and you’ve been feeling the same, this is your sign to do it. Go to the class, book your own space, show up for something even if you have no idea how it will turn out.

Make the time. You won’t regret it one bit 🤗

I’ve been wanting to get back into a class for years but always talked myself out of it. I had every excuse in the book!!

I’m always preaching about doing the stuff that scares you and yet I was still hiding to do this. Even my daughter was like “mom, you have to take a class and do the scary thing!” eeekks 🙈🫣

And so here it is - don’t judge. Super rusty but let me tell you how I did NOT care. I just wanted to push myself and have some fun while I was doing it!!

If you’re in that midlife crisis, you are not old.

You are re-inventing, re-learning and re-energizing a whole new part of you that has surprises waiting for you at every corner.
Learn to embrace every single part of it and just keep going 💜💜

You’re not done. You’re just getting started 🔥💃🏽

I got to choreograph a short dance for my beautiful niece @kaleya.ilao for her 18th bday. Thanks @atigley for asking and helping to organize.

We only had a few practices and I honestly was a little nervous about the time crunch BUT they pulled it off and did so good bc of their hard work together 👏🏽👏🏽

They are such an amazing group of friends and their smiles and energy LIT UP the room that night ✨✨

Showing you a bit of me coming up with the moves and SWIPE to see final result of how it came to life.

I had my niece send me video of her dancing naturally to the song first so I can catch her vibe and make sure the dance represented HER first.

My fav part is visualizing all the moves and patterns before actually getting up to move and create. Love how it turned out 💜💜🥰🥰

Okay who wants me to choreoraph their dance next??!! 😉😉 💃🏽💃🏽

After thanking the WORK IT Girl Summit volunteers, one of our students shouted out “What about you Janet?!”

I wasn’t expecting that but you know I’ll never turn down a quick moment to unleash my inner dancer from time to time😉

I am learning alongside this community every day about showing up and trying my best and how confidence is built through taking small daily steps outside of my comfort zone.

If you’re reading this and are pushing through something, just KEEP GOING. Turn the volume up on that voice inside of you and GO FOR IT!

You have everything it takes and MORE 💜💯🙌🏽
