Clever girl captured in the wild! The Hammond Collection Velociraptor is such a great figure. The glass eyes look great when the sunlight hits.

Zoom out for context. Amazing how a perspective change can make a difference. This was taken literally right off the beaten path in Angel Fire New Mexico.

Finally saw @themandalorian and Grogu in the theaters which inspired me to do a toy pic. This time it’s 1/6th scale using the @hottoyscollectibles Mandalorian and Grogu with the @sideshow Big Lebowski body. 🤣

As you know I love building props for my photos so this time I created 3 movie theater chairs out of insulation foam. Very happy with how this one turned out!

Peek into the process. Thumbnail sketches and test photos can help immensely, especially with collaborative work. Communicating ideas can be challenging at times but I find sharing visual exploration can help make the process more efficient.

To be fair, working with Tony on Major Mechclaw was a smooth process as he gave me a few notes and let me cook (am I too old to say that?). The sketches you see here are actually draw overs I did in Procreate using rough concept photos I captured with my phone. I could have drawn them from scratch but you know… efficiency.

Once Tony and I decided on a general direction I did a quick setup in the studio using two of the favorite compositions. I loved using my homemade fireball (chicken wire and cotton balls) but in the end we thought it didn’t showcase the figure as well, so we scrapped it. In the end the final shot we created was more successful and still awesome!
