I literally love my friends so much.

September’s Smile Mail theme was about loving and respecting your friends.
One of the items in the drop of joy was this here mix tape. I made a lil playlist of fun friend songs and displayed the QR in a good ol retro styled CD made of stickers, paper cuts, and good ol fashioned luv <3

Making a Victorian Puzzle Purse for August’s Mail was the perfect amount of challenging. Fun fact, I drew the whole design with my finger on my iPad!

I went to visit my friend in late July and we sat by the water and discussed beautiful things. If I’m being honest, I’m not much of a journaler but I value its benefits greatly and hope to become one. I think doing collages with thoughts and notes is a good start. Anyway, July’s objective was to focus on the good and day to day things opposed to the crushing evil of the world🩵💙

Went out of my comfort zone for June’s Smile Mail packet and really enjoyed how the vibes came out✨

June’s theme was “Citizen of the World” and was created to encourage people to realize their place in the community and to discourage loneliness.

A theory I had in high school was that if everyone felt alone and like no one understands that, then none of us are alone in our understanding…because others feel the same way. And yes, no one person can fully comprehend the experiences of another person but at least we can all stand beside each other holding our own flavor of misunderstanding. Anyways, you’re not a prisoner of your circumstance or personal narrative. You can be free and I love you.

I originally started Smile Mail as an avenue to explore different art themes and styles but quickly realized that I wanted to do more with it. After just 2 drops, I found out that Smile Mail is more about sharing motivation and joy than just fun. Last month was about growth and I’m excited to share that with you all later!

So here’s why I love snail mail and why you might want to too:
1. there is not instant gratification. It’s a practice in retraining your brain in patience and anticipation
2. it’s a happy and affordable treat you can look forward to or forget about and it just shows up - How exciting!
3. it is all handmade. No Ai. No big corporations. Just love and occational papercuts.
4. tactile and not on a screen. IMO things made in love should hold or be held. Not to mention we biologically retain the memory of the physical much more than the digital - so words of love on paper do more labor than words of love on a screen 👁️👁️

I am so excited to launch my Monthly Sticker Mail Club and I hope you’ll join in it with me!
Basically it’s $6/month for a joyful envelope of goodies that I make by hand just for you. Will keep it as cheap as I can for as long as I can! The idea is that social media is and always will be kind of depressing and nothing beats physical joys you can hold. So think of this as a self care/touch of grass you can schedule and look forward to.
I got this idea from all the good feels I felt coming up while making a packet for a good friend of mine who keeps a wicked scheduling journal so…could also be perfect for my other journaling homies out there 😘
