Hello, Bibliophiles! What book are you reading right now?

Uuu so hard to finish this #thecatcherintherye the reason i purchased it because of "Sanam Teri Kasam" bollywood movie 🤣. Since Saru gave it to Inder, started that day also i want the book.

And i feel happy when i have the exact same book look. People say this book is light reading, telling about a bad*ss teenager, not too much but they say many murderers read this book, i don't know why cause there is no crime scene here, or maybe i just don't like it, that's why when i go to next chapter i already forget the previous chapter.

This is the only #jdsalinger book. See, there is no bad book, bad writing, bad stories, there is only different opinions. And this book is not my style (but if i am in JD. Salinger position of course i am proud of myself!)

My friend used to try to read also but she could not. She said the book is boring. I agree. Even i skipped chapter 23, 24, 25 and directly go to 26 because i want to finish fastly.

I don't recommend anyone to read this book. Once again, i purchased this because of Saru and Inder.

Hello, Bibliophiles!!!
What book are you reading?

I've just finished this #nicktrenton book entitled STOP OVERTHINKING that contains 23 techniques to relieve stress, stop negative spirals, declutter your mind, and focus on the present.

This book only have 163 pages, but i took long time to finish because need to understand each chapter.

Here i'll share you my higlights so that you will know that overthinking is disgusting.

1. Overthinking puts our ordinary cognitive instincts in overdrive. Our brains help us solve problems and understand things more clearly--but overthinking does the opposite. P.2

2. Overthinking is an excessively harmful mental activity, whether that activity is analyzing, judging, monitoring, evaluating, controlling, or worrying. P.3

3. Being alive is stressful. It's a normal part of our daily world to experience pressure, challenge, or discomfort. P.13.

4. When we ruminate and overthink, we can turn ordinary life stress into something overwhelming and negative. P. 21

5. Remember that forgiveness is something you do for yourself, not the other person. P.30

6. Just like a cloud is not the sky, our problems are not who we are--they will pass, and we do have control over how we respond to them. P.44

7. One of the biggest sources of our anxiety is poor time management. P.74

8. Anxious and worried thoughts are kind of sticky. Once a threatening or negative thoughts pops into your head, it seems hard to shift or ignore. P.93

9. We can seldom eliminate worry from our lives, but we can consciously limit its time of onset and the duration. P.99

10.Be proud of yourself for having the honesty and courage to grow and change. P. 114

11. ... leave behind those that don't do us any good.
When we change the way we look at things, we change the way we feel. P.115

12. When you feel a negative emotion, STOP. P.116

13. Thinking is a precious skill, provided it inspires action. Action without thinking is idiocy, but thinking without action is anxiety.

Heyyyoooo, Bibliophiles! What book are you reading?

This #morganhousel book entitled #psychologyofmoney will teach us not how to be #rich but #wealth

Mostly this book talk about investation. There is a question in this book, "why do so many people who are willing to pay the price of cars, houses, food, and vacations try so hard to avoid paying the price of good investment returns?" in page 162.

I higlighted some sentences for you:

"...when you don't know why someone behaves like they do, you won't know how long they'll continue acting that way, what will make them change their mind, or wether they'll ever learn their lesson." pg. 172.

"...while we can see how much money other people spend on cars, homes, clothes, and vacations, we don't get to see their goals, worries, and aspirations." pg. 173.

"The simple idea that most people wake up in the morning trying to make things a little better and more productive than wake up looking to cause trouble is the foundation of optimism." pg. 177.

"Most people, when confronted with something they don't understand, do not realize they don't understand it because they're able to come up with an explanation that makes sense based on their own unique perspective and experiences in the world, however limited those experiences are." pg. 199.

"Carl Richards writes: 'Risk is what's left over when you think you've thought of everything'. " pg. 200

"Less ego, more wealth. Saving money is the gap between your ego and your income, and wealth is what you don't see. " pg. 207.

"...everyone-without exception-will eventually face a huge expense they did not expect-and they don't plan for these expenses specifically because they did not expect them." pg. 217.

Hello, Bibliophiles!
What book are you reading now?

I've just finished this #48lawsofpower book by @robertgreeneofficial in concise edition, yup the shorter one. My cousin suggests me to read this, but i don't know that there is versions.

This book is good but sometimes i feel like i am rude if i practice all of the laws, just like laws number 2 --> Never put too much trust in friends, learn how to use enemies. Oh my, i don't want to use people in my life!

As usual, i will always make highlights 😄.

Law 5 page 18 : in the social realm, appearances are the barometer of almost all of our judgments.

Law 7 page 28 : life is not life without knowledge

Law 9 page 35 : save your energy and walk away

Law 10 page 38 : humans are extremely susceptible to the moods, emotions, and even the ways of thinking of those with whom they spend their time.

Law 12 page 48 : "When you are about to take, you should give." (Han Fei Tzu, Chinese philosopher, third century B.C)

And maaaany more. Better you read it by yourself if u think you need to have power 😉.

Hello, Bibliophiles!!! What book are you reading?

I've just finished reading this 30 contents book about letting go 🥲. My cousin recommended me this book.
See, i know that is not easy but...
Hey, why don't you try to read this book?

Written by @heidipriebe
Contains around 113 pages, very easy to understand. I will write here my highlights yes, so you can decide you want to read this book or not.

Page:
15 = you never meet the right people at the wrong time because the right people are timeless.

19 = if there's one thing we all need to stop doing, it's waiting around for someone else to show up and change our lives.

19 = you are most attractive when you're not worried about who you're attracting.

22 = you do not have to tone yourself down to a smaller, frailler, more helpless version of yourself in order to be loved. The world needs more women like you.

26= love is wonderful, worthwhile, and enriching. You should be able to be with somebody you love and also live a life that entices, invigorates, and inspires you.

27= the person who is right for you: They want the same lifestyle that you do.
So how do we meet such a person? We do more of what we love. We consequently attract the people who love what we love. Who value what we prioritize. Who appreciate all that we are. Even if that means that we have to be alone for a very long time. Wait for the person who is gazing outward in the same direction as you are.

It will be too long if i write all my highlights here because this book is too good to read.

Just enjoy ya, terimakasih.

Good evening Bibliophiles!
I got this book right after it was available in Indonesia, 2020 when pandemic visited us 🤣.
I love you @jayshetty that's why i bought your book and read it.

I believe that we can read anybook at anytime, it's been 2 years already since the book published but it's okay to post it just now.

I am so happy finally i can finish this #thinklikeamonk

It includes Budhis' quotes but it doesn't make you quit from any religion. I learn many things there, i read it slowly, page to page.

I create highlight to share this book quotes, story to story. I hope i can share the knowledge to you like he shared me by this book.

Hello, Good People...

That's why kita musti bersikap positif, berpikir positif, semuanya positif!
