Wait… we never actually introduced ourselves on here, did we?We’re Oscar, Aaja, and Sabin ~ a golden retriever with main character energy and two humans just trying to keep up.Oscar is the heart of it all. He’s sweet, silly, deeply food motivated, ball obsessed, and full of personality. He’s 100% a mama’s boy — so we all know who the spare is 🤭. He sets the tone for the day based on how dramatic his morning stretch is. From there, it’s his world, we just adapt.I’m Aaja — Oscar’s personal chef, chaos coordinator, and yes, I fully believe I birthed him. First-time dog mom, fully obsessed, and my camera roll is 98% Oscar and 2% things I meant to delete. Also a software developer when I’m not Googling “can my dog eat this?”And Sabin — Oscar’s second favorite human. He’s our idea guy, skit director, Oscar’s favorite coactor, and yes, the one picking up the poop. Oscar hugs are the best 🥹SAVE this to teach your dog hug 🤗 Quick breakdown of how we taught it:1️⃣ Start with “chin” and reward every time their chin rests between your fingers2️⃣ Place your dog behind you and have them rest their chin on your shoulder. Mark and RewardUse a very high value reward, we used Oscar’s favorite @openfarmpet 😋 3️⃣ Once they’ve got that down, ask for their paw too4️⃣ Gradually introduce the cue “Hug”We actually followed a tutorial by @ayce.and.aria when teaching Oscar hug ❤️#dogsofinstagram #goldenretriever #hug #tutorial by @worldofoscar7
