SIOP is inviting nominations for the SIOP Asia Scientific Programme Advisory Working Group (SPAWG), the experts who review and score abstracts and suggest topics for keynotes, symposia, and Meet-the-Expert sessions.

✅ Open to SIOP members residing in Asia, with expertise in surgery, radiation oncology, nursing, or other areas of paediatric oncology
✅ Three-year term, with online abstract review over 2-3 weeks each year
✅ Members receive the early-bird Congress registration rate, even after the standard deadline
⏰ Nominations close November 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM CET

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Roula Farah as the new Chair of the SIOP Asia Scientific Programme Advisory Working Group (SPAWG)! 🎉

Based in Lebanon, Dr. Farah is a Professor of General Paediatrics and Paediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Lebanese American University, and the Founder and President of CHANCE Association (Lebanon) and CHANCE International (Geneva). A 2026 Fulbright Scholar, she is currently at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard, working on familial cancer genes and cancer predisposition.

The SPAWG supports the SIOP Asia Scientific Committee in shaping the scientific programme of the SIOP Asia Congress. We are excited to welcome Dr. Farah’s expertise and leadership as she helps advance paediatric oncology across the region. 🙌
