Like the neighborhoods he grew up in, this image is of a beautiful young Black girl rising out of the grass, naturally and with true belonging. Last year I had the pleasure of watching @dragon76art at work creating this mural in the World Trade Center district of Manhattan. Sadly I had to leave before it was finished. Another opportunity to visit NYC arose and I was glad to see this finished mural in all its glory!
