World Otter Day at the Wild Mile 5/27/2026

Thanks everyone for coming out and joining in the global celebration, and a huge thanks to everyone who helped make it happen- @urbanrivers staff and volunteers, @urbanotterresearch, the bands, anyone who donated anything, and all my friends and loved ones that gave me a hand. Its been a dream of mine to do a World Otter Day event in Chicago for years now and I couldn't be happier with the turnout. We raised some money for Urban Rivers, we geeked out about otters with fellow otter-heads, we enjoyed excellent live tunes from some of the city's best, and took in a beautiful evening on the river in Chicago's absolute coolest outdoor space- the Wild Mile.

Thanks again, everyone! by @worldwildotters

"Seyed Bagher Mousavi spent his World Otter Day with the children of the Hawr Al-Huwayzah Lagoon. Mousavi and the children celebrated otters together, including the distribution of otter pictures to the youngsters. They talked about nature, the marshes, otters and all other_ aspects that are the building blocks to wetland conservation.
Mousavi's efforts have helped engage children with nature and be the custodians of their local environment moving forward."

🍀 Congratulations to our esteemed Seyed Baqer, a true patriot and a devoted guardian of our homeland’s remarkable natural heritage.

Educating children — the future custodians of our nation’s natural and national treasures — has always been a cornerstone of Team Dornaye Omid’s mission.

We are proud of the progress achieved so far and remain committed to continuing this meaningful journey.
