Just in time for the stables' birthday, this wonderful gift was delivered!!!

Y'all, meet Dip!!! Dip has been the best friend and partner to Johanah but the time has come for him to do lighter work than she does. She so wanted to share his wonderful personality and strengths, and for him to have a special purpose, that she gave him to Worthy Stables! We have loved him from the moment he was unloaded in our driveway.
If you've ever loved an animal so much that it felt like part of your heart was outside your body, you know what an important gift this is. We are so grateful that we've been entrusted with this special guy, and we cannot wait for all of our participants, volunteers, guests, and friends to meet him. You will love him instantly!
Thank you, Johanah! It took about two days for your big guy to gather a celebrity-level fan club here! by @worthystables

Our barn cats don't just patrol the barn for rodents and other intruders, they are constantly adding to their modeling portfolios. Aren't they a good looking crew?? Mac, especially, would like you to know that he's the most beautiful cat alive!
Did you know you can sponsor a hard working barn cat for only $10 a month? This covers their food, and flea/worm prevention.
Sponsor a good kitty today at: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/barn-cats-need-love-too
Cat sponsors are repaid in all the cuddles and kisses they could possibly want! (From the cats, of course, but a few humans might give you a high five or a hug. 😉) by @worthystables

You may know that Worthy Stables instructors are all certified in therapeutic riding instruction or as equine specialists in mental health in learning through PATH International and insured to the highest industry standards, but did you also know that Worthy Stables staff are now required to go through SAFESPORT training?

In response to a constant barrage of reports of abuse and assault in the sports world, SAFESPORT was created with the mission of recognizing, preventing, and responding to physical, sexual, and emotional abuse in athletic environments. SAFESPORT provides specialized training that creates a safer sports culture for everyone involved.
Our participants may experience a greater degree of vulnerability due to communication differences, limited social experiences, the necessity of assistive touch in adaptive sport, and, in some instances, an inability to recognize inappropriate attention.
It will always be in the forefront of our training at Worthy Stables to protect our participants, staff, volunteers, and guests from any forms of abuse or disrespect.
We are proud to be a part of the SAFESPORT community, fostering respect and ending abuse in sport. by @worthystables

We heard from several guests that our loud speakers weren't working during the presentation of some honors at The Pine Belt Round-Up this year.
One new segment of our big day is the presentation of Silver Spurs to our staff member of the year and volunteer of the year.
For anyone who missed it, here is an excerpt from the presentation made at the rodeo:
"A horse person who can use spurs correctly, gently, and with fairness to a horse can form a deep partnership with that horse through clear communication. This year we begin the tradition of presenting silver spurs to the volunteer of the year and the staff member of the year. These people have ridden more horses, worked more hours, and given more of themselves to the cause than anyone else. This year these two honors go to the same person. She volunteers countless hours, is on staff and works tirelessly. She rides almost every horse in the barn, knows them so well, and they love her as much as she loves them. Volunteer of the year and staff member of the year, 2026, go to Shaelynn Chandler. Congratulations, Shae. You have earned your spurs!" by @worthystables

Our beautiful, amazing, and much-loved Dolly has been in the fight of her life this year. She became gravely ill a few months ago but, after many failed attempts at uncovering what was making her sick, she has taken a turn for the better and is responding beautifully to a new care plan!
Dolly is one of our hardest working horses and deeply important to our programs. Sadly, Dolly remains unsponsored. When our horses are sponsored, we are able to keep our program costs low and continue to grow our services to our community.
Would you consider any monthly amount of sponsorship for Dolly? You won't regret being a part of her sponsor team and sharing in the joy she brings to so many!

On the day of the rodeo, we had a lot of technical difficulty with our raffle ticket sales so we extended a few of them to give everyone a chance at these great prizes!
This prize is one that most of us at the stables wish we could win! Carter's Collective donated this gorgeous gold horseshoe necklace valued at $400! This piece is so fine! Pictures don't do it justice.

You don't want to miss out on our CHOOSE YOUR PRIZE Raffle!!!
Throughout @The Pine Belt Round-Up at Worthy Stables next Saturday, April 11, we will be drawing for a huge, amazing line-up of prizes. Among those prizes is a gorgeous gold horse shoe necklace from @carterscollectivejewelry and a giftcard from Petra Cafe Greek & Mediterranean Hattiesburg !
Carter's Collective is easily one of the most beautiful businesses in the Pine Belt! How they converted a plain old bank building into a stunning shopping experience is breathtaking! The amazing donation they made to our raffle is hard to raffle off because we would all prefer to keep it! 😁
And Petra Cafe gets tons of our business and should get tons of yours! Their food is always perfect, the atmosphere comfortable and relaxing, and the service is 100% welcoming and wonderful.
We are so grateful to both of these businesses for supporting our mission with their generous donations!

*Our CHOOSE YOUR PRIZE Raffle tickets are only available at The Pine Belt Round-Up and winners must be present. Stay tuned for exciting raffle options for friends who cannot attend our big event! by @worthystables
