Dropping Mine de Rien on Thurs, a long-form collaborative artist book with my friend @wouter.vandevoorde Wouter Van de Voorde and our friend @minimeditions Tamara and @manolisck Manolis at Minimal Editions.

On two consecutive trips between 2019 and 2023, artists Wouter Van de Voorde and Brad Feuerhelm met in Charleroi, the former’s home country. After corresponding from Australia and Slovakia, the two artists met in person in Charleroi to explore the area and follow their shared interests in architecture and post-industrial landscapes.

Since it is a handmade artist book, we wanted to make it something lasting and reflect the cost of making it, so we decided to produce analog prints to make the price worthwhile. It's the only way we could optimize the price point without losing money. We also think we have delivered.

On Wed., there will be three different versions to choose from.

Regular Edition- includes ONE signed analog print + covers shipping and tax.

130 euros- signed Ltd. book + one signed analog darkroom print + shipping; limited to 50 copies

Special Edition- includes two signed analog prints and covers shipping and tax.

275 euros, signed Ltd. book, TWO signed analog darkroom Prints, Shipping + tax; limited to 40 copies

Deluxe Edition- includes FOUR signed analog darkroom prints and covers shipping and tax

475 euros, signed Ltd. book, four signed analog darkroom prints, Plan from the site, Shipping and Tax, limited to 10, plus 2 A. P. by @wouter.vandevoorde

Mine de Rien

A place translated into an object.

Created by photographers @wouter.vandevoorde and @ordinarylight (Brad Feuerhelm), Mine de Rien brings together their photographic perspectives in a handmade artist's book.

For the design, I wanted the physicality of the place to extend beyond the photographs, translating its textures and rhythms into the materials and construction of the book.

Mine de Rien will be available for preorder next week through Nearest Truth Editions.

The photographers will also be offering various bundles including their analog prints, making each edition an even more personal encounter with the work.

As each book is handmade, orders will ship late fall / early winter. by @wouter.vandevoorde

Unbelievably chuffed to get my hands on the first advance copy of @wouter.vandevoorde Van De Voorde/Brad Feuerhelm split Mine de Rien, published by Nearest Truth Editions and @minimeditions Minimal Editions in a small edition of 150 copies, 21 of which will have an analog print from each of the artists in a special edition. Edited and sequenced by myself and deep homie @manolisck and hand-produced by Tamara Vujotic Coupe, the artist book is the result of both artists meeting in Charleroi, Belgium, to covertly photograph the end of the city's industrial sites, asking questions about labor, decay, and what happens to human energy when manual jobs decrease. At least, thats my take on it. Wouter might tell you something different. Shot over two trips in 2019 and 2022, the book is the summation of our hang.

Tamara worked super hard on this. The cover is concrete-sprayed and still holds well to the boards with little to no dust, and the belly band you see if from architectural plans found on site, in collapsing offices.

We should be ready for presales in September. by @wouter.vandevoorde

Was finally able to capture some of the BTS MiniDV footage I filmed working with this diorama. Still going with this project but during winter it is way too told to work under my carport at night… by @wouter.vandevoorde
