“Freedom delayed is not freedom denied.” Today we honor Juneteenth — a day that reminds us that freedom delayed is not freedom denied.

June 19, 1865 marks the day the last enslaved people in Texas finally learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

At WOW Ice, we celebrate resilience, culture, community, and the power of turning pain into purpose. Our story was built from tragedy, but fueled by hope, family, and the belief that every generation can create something greater than what came before.

Today we remember the past, celebrate the progress made, and continue building toward a future filled with opportunity, equality, and excellence.

Happy Juneteenth. ❤️💛💚🖤

10 years ago today, my little sister, Akyra Monét Murray, was taken from us in the Pulse Nightclub tragedy.

A decade has passed, but the pain never truly leaves. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about her smile, her laugh, her dreams, and the impact she had on everyone who knew her.

People often say time heals all wounds, but some wounds become a part of who you are. I’ve learned to carry the pain, but I still miss her every single day.

Everything I do through W.O.W. Ice, my family, and my purpose is rooted in honoring her life and keeping her spirit alive.

Akyra, we love you. We miss you. And we will never stop saying your name.

Forever 18. Forever my little sister. ❤️🕊️ @akyramonetmurray taken in Pulse Orlando by @wowiceco
