Rococo fantasies

The structures from the formal Jardin à la française hide now under the skirt- in the wide panier/ upholding a luxuriant mass of roses of silk
With crystal dew-
a pergola for wandering shades and furtive glances.

And for the Little temple of love of Trianon with its strict Doric columns, the temples of the gentlemen are framed by ionian curls- which almost appear whimsical- when they in fact are the choice of predilection of Order…

What happier thing to do on a boring rainy Saturday than recalling a ball Saturday two weeks ago? And with new pictures from the incredibly talented @ingrid_sjostedt that could not be easier! 🤩
Beside being just gorgeous these photos also happened to capture a fun novel like moment in the beginning of the evening where I was hanging around with @wranitzkydaniel, as I usually do because we are great friends, and just as he had presented his younger brother Gabriel to me, my good novelist friend @klarawilde.writer hastily approached us. She was looking just for Gabriel as he had met her at a dance practise some days before and neiher of us both had any idea our gentlemen where belonging to the same family! If that wasn't an #austenmoment I don't know what would be? 😄

Playing Colin-maillard - blind man’s bluff

A recurrent theme for the playful
(or the wicked)
(or the person interested in enhancing the senses and submit to the test of trust)

We found an impromptu blindfold: the black silk mantelet (hooded cape) and to which @wranitzkydaniel happily obliged - opaque satin and masses must have been quite efficient to to purpose.

somehow these scenes beautifully caught by @mrtanorrby remind me of pelele- an old game with a life sized puppet thrown in the air from. Stretched piece of fabric and that Goya has depicted the most innocent way (last picture)- though knowing the artist you might feel that he probably projects himself to the puppet- and how he perceives ”girls”
