I've been lasercutting and painting Pokémon woodcuts for the past few years, and I'm finally documenting my process in a new account called @wranngry! These guys take up to 30 hours, so I have a lot of footage to show how each piece comes together and hope to make some timelapses and tutorials. For a little over a year now, I've been illustrating MIT's campus with acrylic markers! I figured better late than never to start posting. This sunset piece is based on a photo of Mass Ave my friend @raquelify took of leaving campus after a long day. I hope I was able to capture the warm vibes.A huge inspiration for my acrylic marker journey has been @angelaccpan, one of my favorite artists! I've been learning acrylic markers from one of her Mossery kits (you can see the journal here). Her art is so gorgeous, and I encourage you to check it out! When I was young I wanted to create art as realistic as possible, but now I'm challenging myself to try to paint more stylized; Angela's art made me realize how much fun you could have with form, color, and texture!I'm also excited because @posca_usa is kind enough to be sending me their new portrait set! I'm so surprised I actually won an art giveaway, because what are the odds? I don't draw many portraits, but I think the colors are going to come in handy for all the stone buildings, clouds, and foliage I see around campus. Printing the top details of "Sunburst" with a blue-dyed cellulose biopolymer! Timelapse at 6.5x speed -- I printed it very slowly so that the material would adhere to the dry layers. by @wren_in_flight

Printing the first detail layer of "Sunburst" at 4x speed with a squid ink biopolymer! I had to print the squid ink designs much slower than if I'd used a different material. The chitosan/ink mixture is more viscous than our other biopolymers; if printed too fast, it won't adhere to the baseplate, which might cause breaks in the print instead of continuous lines. by @wren_in_flight
