It’s been exhausting day after day, but she’s running again 😈

Visually it doesn’t look exactly how I planned. As raw aluminum 5” pipe for turbo inlet weren’t available. So I settled for black 🤷🏻‍♂️.. I’ll just have to spend some hours sanding and doing my metal polishing magic.

Currently double checking hoses and any vac leaks etc before it’s driven.

Learned a lot though. Not to do so many changes at the same time that it overwhelms me and seems endless. Caleb will help next time!

Maybe I will make it to one of the last @thefastsaga theater showings since I missed the deadline sat evening w my cousin! But it was still great seeing him! by @wretched_2jz

I’m still alive 👍🏽..
my life’s been… it’s just been. So no point in the depressed shit.

And my stress reliever (Supra) hasn’t started all year yet 🫣.. idk if growing up poor, or at least spending my 💰on shit I shouldn’t be, or couldn’t help. Taught me to be self sufficient and DO Everything and Anything Myself.. from car to house stuff. Or maybe it’s my living experience, never being 💯 satisfied with what I pay someone else to do. Always figured “well I guess I’ll do it myself”

I’ve done a poor job at remembering to make vid clips.. I still want to.. but I don’t want to be fake at all, or act like “all is well here”.. guess I’m just waiting /searching for whatever needs to happen to make everything better. So if I don’t get around to vid updates here’s a ..brief 🤭.. summary.

After the single build last Aug-sept for my pops 🙌🏽. End of Oct, I was just ready to put it away and start looking into the little issues.. which lead to handful of changes, and 2 handfuls.. too much to type here in one post.

Started to pull the turbo off to polish it /modify it, how I always wanted. Which lead to seeing the multiple turbo flange and WG leaks. The “hks” flange didn’t fit the turbo out the box.. turned out. It was a cheaper, bootleg one. So I had shaved and modified it to bolt up last year just to get it started 🫣. So I bought the 200$ flange from Japan. I’ll do a new post on manifold.

I’ll skip ahead and end with the new downpipe .. that I built myself from scratch🤷🏻‍♂️.. part of it was me wanting to be different. And part was never being happy with how the 4” one I customized looked. The diameter was slightly smaller than the HUGE HKS DP weld on flange. It just made the big 4” pipe look not as beefy.. And honestly power wise 4” is overkill for MOST single Supras! So I did 4.5” SS anyways😈.. I think I ended with 7 or 8 sections including both flanges on this one! And knowing I did it myself from random pipes feels good too. It’s got a 4” lower vband that bolts to my 4” mid and then new 4” HKS RACE Ti/SS rear section. Here’s a test fit pic from weeks ago. This in new left over material from my own collection I was keeping for myself just to have.

It would prob be more useful to someone who could actually use it. Or has damaged seats and needs them re covered and upholstered!

This post is generally for price on the individual upper or lower leather sections cut to dimensions for oem cobra seat replacement. Same prices as it was years ago. If someone wants multiple pieces for a set/combo , I can discount the price some!

Obviously I can have my upholsterer who specifically specializes in doing these jobs make the boots or knobs for customers as well with a labor fee. Also can have wheels done. Seats due to shopping would be easier to have done locally. I can recommend a shop if given your zip code.

Again, combo prices are cheaper. Example, upper and lower seat section would be 1200$ shipped. So you’re saving a little over 200$

Appreciate the bday wishes everyone, 😎was awat fo a few dealing with life .. kinda wish I could forget this one.

But came back home to see my mom, animal. Stuff i had ordered before i left came in. So added that to the pilr of HKS Supra stuff!

Then my sis, bro in law and nephews stopped over to visit. So it ended the opposite of what it started like! It was awesome to see everyone 🙌🏼 ♥️

Did this all by hand. Didn’t keep track of days or hours. And it’s for the best 😶.. a LOT of time put into this.

Idk it kept my mind distracted. I had planned to do it over winter.
And wanted to do something different too..by leaving the letter back ground dimples. Also enhanced the 🐌 part of the turbo volute,by re-milling the mounts smaller!

Big transformation projects usually give me that sense of accomplishment, kinda needed it. I usually show my dad stuff like this since it’s like magic to him ! Going from rough texture cast grey to mirror finish😪..

This was 250 - 3000 grit! Added more steps in between by doing both dry and wet sand of each grit type.
