TERRACE TRANSFORMATION 🌿

For the past 10 years, we've been proud to call this town home. The support we've received from local people, families, businesses, and visitors has been at the heart of everything we've achieved, so reaching this milestone felt like the perfect opportunity to give something back.

That's why we're so delighted to unveil our beautiful new terrace transformation, a space designed to be enjoyed by everyone who visits us and to further enhance a place that means so much to our community.

This project would simply not have been possible without the incredible generosity, expertise, and vision of @wrightlandscapesltd, Pickmere's luxury landscaping specialists. From the very beginning, the team shared our passion for creating something special, and the result speaks for itself. Their exceptional design, planting and craftsmanship have completely transformed the space into somewhere truly stunning.

A huge thank you to everyone at Wright Landscapes for helping us celebrate our anniversary in such a meaningful way and for investing in a project that will benefit our local community for years to come. 🌿

🏆 BALI Award Project Spotlight | W Outdoor Living Experience

Following the announcement of our four @balilandscapeuk Awards for 2026, we’re continuing our project spotlight with the @w_outdoor_living Experience at @pickmere_nursery, recognised in the Hard Landscaping category.

Designed and delivered by Wright Landscapes, the project has transformed an area of our Pickmere Nursery HQ into a unique outdoor living and landscape experience.

The space brings together hard landscaping, planting, water and outdoor living, creating a space where clients, designers and industry professionals can experience products and materials as part of a complete landscape.

Working with our trusted partners, the experience incorporates a wide range of features from @gardenhousedesign, @rensonoutdoor_uk, @cubicoutdoorliving, @cheshireswimmingpoolsandspas, @_londonstone, @casaceramicatiles, @schellevis_uk, @torcpots, @konigoutdoor, @inlite_global, @caneline and @poggesiuk

These elements are complemented by specimen trees and planting from Pickmere Nursery, creating a landscape where the products sit naturally amongst planting rather than being viewed in isolation.

More than a showroom, the W Outdoor Living Experience has become a place to inspire clients, welcome industry professionals, host events and demonstrate what can be achieved when landscape design, planting and outdoor living are considered together.

We’re incredibly proud to see a project here at our own home recognised with a BALI National Landscape Award for 2026, and it’s fantastic recognition for everyone who has played a part in creating the space. 🏆

From work experience to a future in landscaping 🌱

Earlier this year, Olly joined us for his school work experience at our @pickmere_nursery HQ. After getting his first taste of the landscaping industry, he enjoyed the experience so much that he chose to come back and spend more time with the team during his summer holidays.

Since returning, Olly has been getting hands-on experience across the nursery, learning about plant care, pruning, tree care, and best horticulture practise.

He’s shown great enthusiasm and a real willingness to learn throughout his time with us.

We’re delighted that his journey with Wright Landscapes may not end here, as we’ll now be looking at the opportunity for Olly to join the team on our apprenticeship scheme and continue developing his skills.

A great example of where a work experience opportunity can lead. 🌿

🐝 Biodiversity: Learning from the experts

We had a very inspiring Creative Ecology Session with Dom from @nichehabitat at @pickmere_nursery, giving our team the opportunity to learn more about Niche, what they do and the innovative products and solutions they offer to support biodiversity.

The session gave us a greater understanding of how these products can be incorporated and designed into our landscapes, alongside some of the smaller, considered changes we can make on site that can have a real impact on biodiversity and the habitats we create.

It was also great to learn that the Bee Posts recently installed at Pickmere Nursery are already being used by several species of bees 🐝 – brilliant to see them making a difference so soon after installation.

We came away with plenty of new ideas and a greater understanding of what we can do across our sites and projects.

We’re looking forward to continuing to work with Dom, drawing on his knowledge and expertise to explore how we can introduce more innovative, biodiversity-focused solutions across our projects. by @wrightlandscapesltd
