October 1st marks the start of breast cancer awareness month 💗

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is about so much more than wearing pink. It’s about the people behind the color the fighters, survivors, families, friends, and loved ones whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.

The pictures in this post are the people we Think Pink for. The people who remind us why breast cancer education, awareness and research is so important.

This October, we wear pink for them and the millions of lives effected by breast cancer

Why Zeta Wednesday with our VP communication @abby.riffel

“Coming into Wright State, I wasn’t completely sure it was the right place for me. Throughout my freshman year, I thought about transferring, but the biggest thing that kept me here was not wanting to leave behind the friendships I made through Zeta. These women have brought me out of my shell, pushed me outside of my comfort zone, and given me the chance go after multiple leadership positions within the chapter and outside of it. Through Zeta, I’ve met some of my lifelong best friends and found people who have supported and encouraged me every step of the way. When I think about my why it really comes down to the people. ZTA gave me a reason to stay when I was unsure but more importantly, it gave me friendships and memories that helped make Wright State feel like home. 🩷” by @wrightstatezta

Different letters. Shared values. Shared responsibility.

In the wake of the sexual assault allegations at Cornell University Sigma Phi Epsilon (Ohio Pi) and Zeta Tau Alpha (Eta Pi) are standing together to emphasize the importance of consent, accountability and looking out for one another.

For SigEp the values of Virtue, Diligence and Brotherly Love push us to do what is right to step in when something’s wrong and to hold our brothers responsible. For ZTA principles, like Love, Responsibility and Seeking Understanding remind us to lead with compassion take ownership of our actions and treat others with respect.

These values aren’t words we write on our letters—they must show up in the way we live.

Know what consent means. Respect boundaries. Check in on your friends. Speak up when something feels off. Hold each other accountable.

Our letters never come before someone’s safety.

“Zeta Tau Alpha has given me more than I ever could have imagined. It’s given me the chance to serve in multiple leadership roles, grow my connections, and get involved in so many other organizations on campus. But most importantly, and my forever why for staying, it’s given me my best friends, my roommates, my big, my two littles, and sisters I know will always be there for me.
My sisters are the ones who get me through the hard times, support me in everything I do, and constantly check in to make sure I’m okay.
