My first ever Metal 3D print. SLM Aluminum. I gotta say this is super impressive. Obviously I messed up and there is an error in my file but with a quick adjustment and a new print that won't be an issue. Super exciting!!

I put a CV carb on my chief and I'm super happy with it, but I hated the black plastic top cover. So, I cast my own custom one out of bronze. I started with a 3D printed prototype, made any necessary adjustments, and rescaled for any shrinkage during the casting process. After that, I post-processed it with a little machining for the bolt pattern and interior geometry, and with some elbow grease, a sheet or two of sandpaper, and some polishing/black enamel. I must say I'm thrilled with how it turned out!

Many people know I'm big into motorcycles at this point. But what you may or may not know is that it started with my Grandma and her 1947 Indian Chief. I fully restored this bike over the past couple years and have finally been able to get it over to show it off and get some pictures with her. Truly a wonderful Christmas gift!
