POSTS STORIES REELS
Clears throat, taps mic Is this thing on? Hi. Hello. Yes. It’s me. Manisha. Back on my own grid and not loitering in IG Stories. Older, wiser and winging it! Life happened. Mercury probably went into retrograde or I suspect Uranus was up to something! By way of an introduction for those of you who are new round here: ~ Welcome to my Instagram account, it’s mainly interiors, travel and things I like to do and eat. ~ I landed on the Gram when I began the self build of our family home. And can you believe I still haven’t finished 😆 ~ I run different businesses in Travel, Property, Self-Build / Interiors Consultancy, Management Consultancy and I take on Non-Exec Director roles for startup and charities. This might explain why I haven’t quite finished my house. ~ Hugely passionate about connecting with like-minded business owners. ~ I love Instagram and have a great relationship with it; I don’t post at the ideal time, I don’t follow trends for more likes, I love to grow my account but I am not here for click-bait or fake news. ~ Unfortunately the broken algorithm is tailored to serving up controversial content so sometimes the algorithm doesn’t like my content. The feeling is mutual babes 😳. Here for the laughs and escapism. What do you think? ~ Having this corner of the internet means I post content I love, my scrapbook. I don’t tailor my content for my followers. I post content that feels right at the time so if people follow FAB. If they don’t - also FAB! Here’s what left to do at the house…. Home spa and wellness area. Driveway Master Bedroom Revamp the kid’s bedroom Overhaul the Playroom Main Guest Suite. Is a home ever finished-finished? I love chatting in DMs and in the comments, so get stuck in. Community and networking is arguably more critical today than ever before because it bridges the gap between digital convenience and the enduring human need for trust, collaboration, and opportunity. Thank you for having me on your screen. Long time no post, soft launch, still cute, still me. Manisha x by @write_to_manisha
I don’t know how to use TikTok or make a reel go viral but I can build a house, write in cursive, do long division and tell the time on a clock with hands… So there is always that…. One minute you are young and wild, and the next, you are into air fryers. Today I bring you a “before and after” reel (especially for some of my new followers) and a list of meaningless hashtags to send this reel into cyber space - Is anyone actually out there in Insta-Land? Come and say hi (please 😂) #beforeandafter #architecture #selfbuild #selfbuildhomes #selfbuilduk #transformationtuesday #transformation #sashwindows #portico #reels #reelsinstagram #reelsvideo #exterior #exteriordesign #exteriorsofinstagram #luxury #luxuryhomes #mansion #beforeafter #home #garden #gardeninspiration #gardendesign #homesbeforeandafter by @write_to_manisha

I’m not everyone’s favourite, but I’m definitely someone’s headache. Here is some of the story…. More to follow. What would you love to know? by @write_to_manisha
Listen here, you exhausted little shitshow. You are surviving low oestrogen levels, a full work week, unsolicited opinions and whatever that annoying stiffness is in your right knee. You are doing better than you think. Do you want to know what my electricity bill was like creating this reel? Today I wanted to bring some lighting inspiration from around my home. In the right light, at the right time, everything looks atmospheric. That’s the power of layering lighting, illuminating surfaces and working with shadows to create ambience. Drop any questions you have in the comments below, happy to answer. It’s a huge topic that is overlooked Be honest: Did you curate your lighting with intent, or was it a total afterthought? Drop your thoughts below! by @write_to_manisha
Once I fix my hormones, start my anti-inflammatory diet, get my body back, sleep more, clock my 10,000 steps a day, heal from a decade of chronic burnout and make peace with my inner child. Y’all better watch out 😆 I have a few businesses that I juggle so today on this fine Monday is admin time in my study, so many interior features I adore in here. As ever, happy to take questions in the comments if you want any details ⬇️ by @write_to_manisha
A carousel of stills from around my home and a new discovery about myself… I have found that when two people argue in the comments section, I always believe the person who spells correctly. Which others rooms do you want to see in my next carousel post? by @write_to_manisha
I am going to properly Sunday today! Before I launch into a day of “reset and admin”, let me share my top tips on planning bathrooms. A luxury bathroom should feel like a five-star hotel… not a very expensive list of daily annoyances. Fair? Beautiful finishes are awesome, but good bathroom design is all about the details: lighting, storage, drainage, slip resistance and the little things you don’t think about until it’s too late. I love marble. But being able to find your shampoo, see your face properly and leave the shower without risking a trip to A&E is key. Choose your tile before finalising the layout. Tile dimensions affect cuts, grout lines, niches and drain placement. Plan the details as it unfortunately won’t magically line up. A walk-in shower needs proper planning. Glass placement, floor gradients, drainage and splash zones all matter. Natural stone, brushed brass, polished chrome and matte black all have different cleaning and maintenance needs. Check compatibility with your water type and cleaning products. If the tap needs more skincare than I do, we are reconsidering the finish. Lastly…. Design around how you actually live. Measure circulation space, check door swings and make sure the bath is comfortable to get in and out of and practical to clean. A stunning freestanding bath is no good if you cannot reach behind it. What’s the one thing you would NEVER compromise on in a master bathroom? by @write_to_manisha
The closest I got to a spa over September was heading into my Laundry Room and feeling the humidity smack me in the face. It was a busy Summer and I finally feel settled after getting the kids back to school, returning from my travels and getting into a routine. Albeit half term starts today and October is whizzing by. How are you? I feel we need a catch up in the comments. Each travel trip rewrites me a little and makes me love my upstairs Laundry Room a little more. One of the best decisions when I built my home was to make space for this type of room semi-near the bedrooms. When you think it through, it makes perfect sense. Would you consider a laundry room upstairs? by @write_to_manisha
Dear Gentle Readers that need the details…. My DMs filled up after the last reel with lots of love but a small request to slow the imagery down. Us slightly more mature folk on the Gram love retro Instagram with the still photos and peaceful music! Here are some more details of this space to hopefully inspire and build, ready for the coming months. ~ Structure: It’s a blockwork outer frame and internal timber frame, the appliances and drawers simply slot in and the rest is cladding with the worktop and tiles. ~ Layout & Space: Think about flow….where the grill will go, prep areas, serving space and can guests help themselves to drinks. Different types of seating is a great consideration. I love bar stools as well as a proper dining area, keeping things casual but also having space for a sit-down meal. ~Appliances: I installed a 5 burner BBQ grill and it has a tepanyaki plate! As you keep coming clockwise there is a single gas hob, pizza oven, sink, ice chest and an outdoor fridge. The main brand I used was an American company called Bull. ~ Materials: Choose durable, weather-resistant surfaces like stone, stainless steel, or concrete. My worktop is @dektonbycosentino called “Bergen” and the mitred chunky design is still a firm fave of mine. ~ Utilities: Plan ahead for gas, water, drainage and electrical. ~ Shelter & Shade: A pergola or roof extension can make your kitchen usable year-round. I installed outdoor heaters by @bromic_heating and my aluminium pergola is by @biossun_fr This is the blueprint. Hopefully to inspire. Rustle up the design and invite me round for a sundowner and lamb kebab! #outdoors #outdoordesign #outdoorkitchen #outdoorbbq #garden by @write_to_manisha
From a tired tarmac driveway to a premium resin bound finish in half a day 💥 The difference speaks for itself. The driveway is finally bringing main character energy. The old driveway served its time after the build. After years of loyal service and collecting moss, it has officially retired. Welcome to the resin bound era! Choosing the resin colour, felt like naming a baby. There was every permutation and tone of aggregate that you could think of. I blended the yellow from the brick, the beige from the Portland stone and the grey from sandstone edge / front step. Really cleaned and lifted the old girl up! What do you think? What kind of driveway owner are you? by @write_to_manisha
Who says fireplaces are just for winter? Soft evenings, longer days and a little glow to slow things down. Everyone’s opening windows…. I’m lighting this 😆 Technically it’s Spring, emotionally it’s still fireplace season right? Keep the fire burning even when no one else needs the warmth. Q1 done. If you need any info about details or purchases in this reel - drop me a comment below ♥️ #cosyhome #luxuryhomes #homeinteriors #homedesign by @write_to_manisha
