I’ve thought about sharing this part of my story for a long time. 🤍

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, and October 5th was once supposed to be a very different day in our lives.

So this year, I wanted to tell you about Moses.

For him, and for every parent carrying a name, a memory, or a love the rest of the world may never have known. 🤍

Confessions from a stay-at-home mom writer in drafting season 🌿💻✨

There are parts of this life I feel incredibly lucky to have—and parts I still struggle with more than I expected.

Having time to write doesn’t always mean having the energy to write. Being home doesn’t mean life is interruption-free. And sometimes the hardest part is learning to take my own work seriously without making every available hour feel like one I have to “earn.”

So…here are a few truths from this season of trying to write a book while also just being a person. 💗

I’ve been lucky enough to get sneak peeks behind the curtain on this one—and it’s made me even more excited to finally get to share this with you guys.

You already know I’ll happily yell about another urban fantasy any day, but getting to yell about my girl’s urban fantasy? Even better. 🥹🖤

Waltz of the Jaded is a dark urban fantasy set in futuristic Tokyo, where Morphos magic is everywhere, power comes with a price, and getting too close to the wrong person can change everything.

Are you a plotter, plantser, or pantser?

I am, perhaps surprisingly, a plotter through and through. I need to know where we’re going, who is emotionally unraveling along the way, and preferably have it all organized somewhere before I get there. 🤣

That doesn’t mean my characters don’t occasionally look at my carefully constructed plans and say lol absolutely not—but I NEED THE PLAN.
