Update:

I am still here, still doing my best to show up for others, and still plugging away (slowly) with my own projects.

I have also realized a few things in the last few months:

I am currently and, will be for the foreseable future, unable do the required marketing/networking things to attract readers and sell books. That includes events, a website, a newsletter, content creation, visibility, fast writing etc.

I am highly unmotivated to create content for social media for all the reasons, and while I will try to support friends and colleagues, I will also be paring down who I follow

I will post reviews, when I can, on Goodreads and Amazon

I am a slow writer. Life dictates that, and I realize I also can’t produce well without signficant time, and breaks so I can return with fresh eyes

I am focusing on learning more about writing as a craft, and connecting with others who have that focus too

If I can only do one thing in this arena, it has to be the learning and the writing itself

I may take on select beta reads from folks I have already read for, but will be prioritizing my own projects going forward, and reading for others only when I am on a break from my own writing

Nervous system activation directly impacts my ability to be creative, and while I am using my strategies, I can’t control what others bring my way, and that can be a stuggle

I have appreciated the friendship and support of many of you, and I’m cheering you all on as I find my own wee path forward. I look forward to staying connected to the lovely folks who have taken the time to both get to know me, and let me know them.

In case you didn't know... Forget the Feckin' Wellies is available on KU and at Barnes & Noble. If you are thinking of purchasing the paperback off Amazon, just make sure it's the updated version. There is a very obviously marked version that is outdated. 😉 Currently working on getting this NEW version to the library.
