This half-term, make a mark at our Family Imagination Days! ✍️

We're thrilled to be part of The Big Draw Festival, the world’s largest celebration of drawing, bringing people together through the power of creativity.

To celebrate, and mark Where the River Meets Us 2026, the Great Hall will be transformed into an enchanted paper forest, threaded by a winding River Wensum.

Children and families will be invited to leave their mark by creating and decorating boats carrying their hopes and wishes, then setting them afloat on a journey downstream, past the dragon’s lair.

Mon 26 & Tue 27 October, 10am–3pm. Find out more via the link in our bio 🔗

Family Imagination Days are made possible by the National Lottery Heritage Fund @heritagefunduk.

Last month, we returned to The London Library to celebrate the Escalator New Writing Fellows 2025/26! 📚

To conclude their Fellowships, the ten writers presented excerpts from their fiction manuscripts to a supportive audience of friends, family, agents, and publishers. We're really proud of everything they've achieved and how much they've grown with the help of their mentors over the past year.

Big thanks to everybody who joined us to celebrate the Fellows and their work, and a special shoutout to @thelondonlibrary for hosting us again.

Escalator is generously supported by Arts Council England, @alcs_uk, Amazon Literary Partnership, Garrick Charitable Trust, Golsconcott Foundation, the Laura Kinsella Foundation, and the Reeves Award.
