4 years ago I discovered an album named Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares, by the Bulgarian State Television Female Vocal Choir.
This album has been a very strong source of inspiration for me, that I decided to arrange one of the songs for the WSMF Chamber Ensemble, and it was truly an experiment. We played free-bowing, navigated through some non-western tuning ideas with the cellists and definitely tried to play it with the freedom and extreme contrasts this music requires.

Here’s “Kalimankou Denkou” performed last December at St. Mark Place in the Bowery.

Here’s a little excerpt from “Scarbo” by Maurice Ravel. ✨

Yesterday I performed “Gaspard de la Nuit” for the first time in front of an audience.
This is one of those works that no matter how much time and resources you put into it, it always surprises you with something unexpected. It remains as one of most insanely difficult pieces in the piano literature.

But, what a better audience than my new family at the Washington Square Music Festival! who kindly and generously came down to hear this music and support me in this endeavor.

Thank you so much for being there and for your endless support to the arts and the community!
