Our NAACP chapter was honored to be a guest at Delta Week’s Political Awareness & Involvement event! A special thank you to Brittany Harris for sharing her knowledge and facilitating meaningful conversations about local government, civic engagement, voter registration, and ways college students can get involved in their communities.

We appreciate the opportunity to connect, learn, and engage in conversations about civic responsibility and the role we play in our communities. Thank you for welcoming our chapter!

🗳️ Be sure to make your voice heard and vote on November 3rd!

What happens when you stop talking at young people and start listening to them?

We kicked off the Civic Campus Tour at Wayne State, asking students what they care about, what they want from the people representing them, and what they think the future should look like.

These are just a few moments from the conversations we had 👀

U-M Ann Arbor is next and we can’t wait!

And you were right 👀🎉

POGO’s Can Democracy Look Good on You? Civic Campus Tour is officially kicking off at Wayne State on THIS Thursday, September 24!

📍 Gullen Mall | 10 AM–4 PM
🎤 Panel Discussion | 6–8 PM | Campus Center

We’re so glad to be partnering with WSU Student Senate, Black Student Union, and the NAACP chapter on campus to bring you a day of interactive civic engagement, real conversations, and resources to help you stay informed and involved. 🗳️✨

Come find us throughout the day for an interactive activation, civic resources, student voices, and plenty of opportunities to get involved.

Then join us for the evening panel for real conversations about local democracy, our communities, and what civic engagement can look like for a new generation. Pizza + snacks will be available on a first-come, first-served basis! 🍕👀

Come hang with us, get informed, ask questions, and experience civic engagement a little differently.
