The way to be diligent and to turn from indifference is by seeking God truly. Genuine surrender and faithful obedience to God is the cure. Maybe take the time to read the Bible more, or find a local church, or pray more this new year. Remember, though: faith is a journey, not a destination. You can pray something genuine like, “God, I see now that I’m lukewarm. God, I don’t want to be spat out. Please help to be holy by the power of your Spirit. In Jesus name. 1. Pray before you start
2. Tell them about how God loves them
3. Tell them about sin and how it separates us from God
4. Tell them the Good News of how Jesus reconciles us back to God
5. Pray with them, possibly leading them to Christ
