🧠 What comes to mind when you hear the words “public health”?

After 2020, those words bring up skepticism for man who saw them used to justify evidence-less policies, censorship, and retaliation against dissenting experts.

@integrallyapp invited me to ask Dr. Robert Malone a few questions, so I asked whether science has been corrupted by politics.

⚠️ Like @whoisrobertmalone describes, accountability is one way institutions can course-correct after making mistakes.

Humans are flawed and thus so are the institutions we build, which is why anything that wields power over others must address—not suppress—rational skepticism and criticism.

🔎 How would you answer the question I asked Dr. Malone?

⚖️ What matters more: trust in health institutions or individual autonomy?

@integrallyapp invited me to ask Dr. Robert Malone a few controversial questions, and this was one.

The goal was to highlight statements that deserve serious debate, not the censorship or screaming matches that usually happen instead.

💡What’s great about @whoisrobertmalone’s response is that it acknowledges no solution to a complicated problem like healthcare is perfect.

That’s exactly why we need mature, constructive debates on these issues that highlight different, real concerns and use dialogue to find a way forward.

🔎 How would you answer the question I posed to Dr. Malone?

🧠 Information overload + anti-social environment =

more black-and-white, dogmatic thinking.

At the same time social media is revealing every person has a unique perspective, it’s also killing our ability to handle that complexity.

We get used to thinking in short-form and speaking in reel-length.

🔍 Maybe worst of all, we get addicted to the cheap thrill of having our opinions validated and lose our taste for curiosity.

You can chase certainty or you can chase growth: not both.

So how do you fight back?

For me, it’s developing a habit of always looking for a second or third explanation before rushing to assert my preferred explanation.

💭 And it’s remembering what came naturally to us all as kids:

knowing is never as fun as wondering. by @wtblacksheep

❌ We severely underestimate how much social media is both accelerating and degrading our enlightenment, our wisdom, our growth as conscious beings.

I find it hard to post on social media lately because opening the app gives me a front row seat to the worst of the human condition:

🔄 the same mistakes being created by the same emotional and mental traps, keeping so many people stuck in the same patterns as their “primitive” ancestors.

Fear. Tribalism. Conflict over cooperation. War. Repeat.

And yet, there are pockets of hope and progress. More people recognize the pattern. More are bored by endless, predictable conflict. More yearn for growth in humanity and themselves.

Those are my people.

🌱 And so I remind myself that social media is the best tool we’ve ever had to find each other and keep those pockets of hope thriving. by @wtblacksheep

We need to start judging people differently.

🔍 The people who are most demanding that we accept their beliefs are often the very people who are behaving most irrationally.

But we’re so used to seeing “intellectual debates” that are 90% tactics to avoid having a mature debate that we don’t hold people to any intellectual standards.

Unsurprising, it’s turning us into ignorant, tribal, irrational people.

My new essay is for the people who are bored of watching everyone still freak out over the fact that we have different beliefs.

👁️ Once we accept the reality that we’re always going to disagree, we can ask the more interesting question:

now what?

I almost didn’t post this.

I thought “what difference does it make; people probably won’t even understand what I’m saying.” And then it became one of my most recent viral posts.

🧠 Duh. Lesson learned, yet again: an honest thought expressed with authenticity and humility is a lightning rod in a time when we’re constantly swiping past outrage, judgment, and pure fake shit too.

I shouldn’t have underestimated how many people feel the same hunger for realness and depth a topic like death offers.

🔍 I have a feeling there’s a quiet shift getting started: people who’ve realized the constant outrage and tribalism saturating most of the media we consume isn’t going away.

It’s the new trash TV.

Which means just like it always was, it’s entirely up to us to create places where we can immerse ourselves in all the beauty, substance, transcendence, and complexity we crave.

Even if that’s just spending a little more time immersed in what intrigues you instead of what the world shoves on you.

👁️ We might actually start to see new solutions if we weren’t always staring at the same problems. by @wtblacksheep

🔎 Does nobody care about the epidemic of cruel sentencing?

Integrally invited me to ask Lyn Ulbricht, Ross Ulbricht’s mother and the founder of Mothers Against Cruel Sentencing, to explain what people don’t realize about this issue.

Her son was given two life sentences plus 40 years with no parole despite having no criminal record or convictions for violent crime. He’s not the only one.

🚨 @cruelsentencing has also brought attention to Pedro Moreno’s case, who was given a life sentence without parole for a first time nonviolent drug offense involving weed.

Do you think Lyn is right about America’s problem with cruel sentencing?

🔎 Losing the ability to see the world in anything besides the black and white lens of politics is a true loss.

But it’s a win for the people who need easily manipulated foot soldiers.

Do you notice how much of the media that surrounds us now is about “those people” and whatever Today’s Drama is?

❌ The status quo is increasingly a tribalized, hyper-politicized culture where we’re denied the space to think deeply and see beyond anything but our political battles.

And that’s the trick:

the path to a more peaceful, enlightened society won’t be found in the status quo. True change requires true change, not doubling down on the same cycle of conflict.

♟️Meanwhile, more people are spending more of their time seeing the world in only black and white, us vs them.

It’s the perfect time to be the rare individual who sees in color—nuance, depth, longevity, the unorthodox—so you might add something different to a predictably broken cycle. by @wtblacksheep

When a person lacks principles, their beliefs will inevitably be shaped by groupthink.

🔑 Principles are “natural laws”, actions that produce the same outcome whether we believe it or not.

Free speech is a principle—the moment we don’t honor it, we no longer have it.

Individual sovereignty is a principle—we have it up until the moment we stop protecting it.

❌ Tribalism is the opposite of principled behavior: it’s “us vs them” thinking, which leads to hypocrisy, inequality, and conflict.

It’s why humanity’s problems keep repeating in slightly different forms—we keep taking “us vs them” approaches to our problems, which means they never get solved.

🔍 But here’s why this matters for you, right now: your life is also governed by principles, whether you realize it or not.

Most people let their mood dictate their behavior. Principles are what you turn to when your mood and your goals are in conflict.

For me, that looks like: “I say what I believe is true and important even if it’s unpopular.”

📌 This means that even when I’m afraid of the backlash, I always know which action will produce the creative freedom I want. by @wtblacksheep

📌”If you put in the same amount of effort [...] put towards wanting reparations, they wouldn’t need reparations.”

Some people think we should listen to people’s views on certain subjects based on their identity—but since when does every woman, black person, or gay person have the same opinions?

@integrallyapp invited me to ask @wrong_speak to share his views on identity-based justice, and his answer is as unique as he is.

💡What’s your answer?

I’m partnering with @integrallyapp because we don’t just need to “listen to X voices”—we need healthy dialogue with *everyone.*

In distraction is where you most lose control of yourself and become vulnerable to outside influence.

👁️ Have you noticed there’s always a news story or social post for whatever you want to believe—especially if it’s negative?

I’ve accepted the reality that I will inevitably consume something that’s false, despite my best efforts to do otherwise.

❌ My safeguard against the damage of developing a false world view is refusing to let this ocean of random information mold me.

I do the opposite: drowning myself in resilience, beauty, civility, curiosity, romance and all the things that make me love humanity.

🌟But this works best if you’ve taken the time to examine your beliefs and know your North Star even in the dark.

That’s why I always come back to virtues and principles.

They’re what keep me focused on truth, compassion, courage, freedom, and love even when the world feels like it’s throwing the opposite of all that at me.

💡 “Dare to know!”

In 1784, Kant was already advocating for what we’re still debating today:

🔑 that each individual should strive to think for themselves instead of outsourcing their judgment to others.

Before computers even existed, Kant believed it was necessary for every person’s development that we do our own research before accepting ideas without consideration.

🤔 And yet “do your own research” became a phrase to mock people for doing exactly what one of the most famous Western philosophers advocated: thinking for yourself.

At the core of this idea the belief that humans are inherently equal, that neither race nor role makes anyone’s ideas so infallible as to never deserve any questioning.

🧠 While we may have different levels of knowledge or specializations, we’re all capable of trying to think. by @wtblacksheep
