Our friend Sheetal Dahiya (18+) left her home from Jodhpur on 15 July of her own free will due to family pressure. She had also shared a video clearly stating that she was leaving voluntarily.

On 27 July, she was taken from Chandigarh by her family members along with Rajasthan Police personnel. We were informed that she would be produced before a court on 28 July. Since then, we have had no contact with her and do not know where she is or whether she is safe.

We respectfully request the concerned authorities to ensure that Sheetal is safe and that, as an adult, she is able to make her statement freely and without any pressure. Our only request is that her legal rights and her own choice be respected.

If anyone has any verified information regarding her current status, please let us know.
