Just a lil update! Taylor’s cancer unfortunately came back this summer, but he was able to crush 3 rounds of chemotherapy, and ring the bell! We are told it’s time to heal and move on… physically/emotionally/spiritually. Thankfully we won’t have to do that alone, and we haven’t had to do any of this alone. We will never forget this season of life, and everyone who supported and carried us through. Thank you GOD! Time to go LIVE.🕺🪩💃 by @wtfarr

Hey everyone! We wanted to update you on my (Taylor’s) situation, as so much has changed in a short amount of time. The day before I was scheduled to get my chemo port placed, and days before I was scheduled to begin chemotherapy… Indiana University called us and changed our entire plan (for the best).
-
Carti Clinic assisted us in sending my info to IU to review, as they are the leading research and treatment center for Testicular Cancer. After reviewing, IU recommended a surgery to remove my cancerous lymph nodes, as opposed to chemotherapy. We decided to move forward with this option, and I will be having this surgery mid-July. There will be a journey to get back to full health after that, but if all goes well, I could be cancer free without any chemo at all.

This was a call that changed everything, and we are emotional, grateful, and blessed. We can’t explain the peace we feel about this treatment plan, and please pray with us that it works! We are so grateful for the support and care provided by Carti and are looking forward to working with IU.

As a bonus: because I didn’t start chemo this week, I was able to help Danica move into her new apartment! (Just wanted to acknowledge other great things that God is doing in our lives!) taken in Fayetteville, Arkansas by @wtfarr

April is Testicular Cancer Awareness Month

This is something I (Taylor) didn’t know until I was diagnosed earlier this month. God is good and everything has been the best case scenario. We are continuing to pray, but regular monitoring seems to be a very likely path forward. We wanted to post (1) to thank everyone who has been with us in this journey so far, supporting us and praying for us; and (2) to raise awareness for a relatively rare cancer that is very treatable and easy to catch early on.

Testicular cancer is the most common cancer for men 15-34 (but only 20,000 U.S. men will experience it). It is almost 100% curable if caught early. The best way to do so is to conduct regular self-examines. All this to say… #CheckYourBalls taken in Fayetteville, Arkansas by @wtfarr
