SKAM 💛🌈 Blooper vs Final Cut 😂

I’m forever grateful that Julie Andem gave us these Skam bloopers 👏🏼❤️
It’s so fun to watch their filming process and Julie’s direct direction 😅 She knows exactly what she wants. But at the same time she was always really considerate of the young actors’ comfort level. There was a great dynamic on set between Tarjei, Henrik and Julie 🫶🏼

This is Tarjei Sandvik Moe (Isak) and Henrik Holm (Even) in season 3 of the Norwegian series SKAM.

wtFOCK 🇧🇪 Robbe and Sander 😍

Sander is forever a romantic, declaring his love for Robbe. They really did change each other’s lives for the better. ❤️

This is Robbe and Sander’s 6th New Year’s Eve together.
I’m sure they’re more in love than ever, living together in domestic bliss. 🥰

This was a really memorable year for me: meeting and travelling with friends, making memories together 💕; visiting the wtFOCK locations in Belgium and the Skam locations in Norway💛; meeting Willem De Schryver and the Knokke off cast ❤️, meeting Henrik Holm and having long chats over drinks 🤯
So many unforgettable memories.

I’m excited for 2025 and whatever adventures lay in store.
I hope next year we see more happiness, peace and love in the world.

Happy New Year everyone ❤️

🩷❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤎

Willem De Schryver was happy to see his Knokke off castmates PommelienThijs, Kes Bakker and Ayana Doucouré at the screening of Coward at Film Fest Gent on Wednesday evening. 💕

“I am really super happy that they are here too. With their busy schedules, I didn’t know if it would work out tonight. Very nice.”

Willem had to keep the after party celebrations low key though.
“I’m expected on the set of Knokke Off: the movie, at 7 o’clock tomorrow morning,” he laughs. “But one drink is allowed, right?”

Willem De Schryver, Emmanuel Macchia, Valentin Campagne and Lukas Dhont will be present for the screening of Coward, the official opening film of Film Fest Gent on 7 October. ✨

🌈 Coward is a queer romance set behind the lines of the First World War.

‘Young soldier Pierre (Emmanuel Macchia in a striking debut) discovers an unexpected world of theatre, music and tenderness.
At its heart is the charismatic Francis, played with irresistible flair by Valentin Campagne. The pair’s remarkable chemistry earned them the prestigious Best Actor award at Cannes. With Coward, Dhont gives his signature sensitivity a far broader canvas, allowing the classic war film to blossom into something unexpectedly sensual and tender.’

‘Coward looks beyond the familiar images of heroism and violence, towards men who sing, play, yearn and, for a moment, dare to be someone else. For perhaps courage lies not only in going into battle, but also in refusing to be who the world tells you to be.’
(Film Fest Gent)

Willem plays Jacobs, an integral character in the story, whom Lukas described as ‘the way to the heart of the film’. ❤️

Willem Herbots, Jonathan Michiels &
Ade Bormans in THE LAB: a residential artistic lab for the arts and young audiences in Hasselt from 05 to 16 October.

Here they are working on RO.MAN, a performance (for 14+) about a tender, intimate friendship bond between two boys. With text, puppet play, humour, imagination and - who knows - a spectacular motion phrase, this performance offers an alternative to the toughness that is expected of boys when they grow up.

During this residency in THE LAB, they broaden their views on the theme of the performance and anchor their project in the lives of young people today through activating workshops. For this they also work together with Sanderijn Helsen.

Project Description

Willem Herbots and Jonathan Michiels are friends. Together with Ade Bormans, they are creating a performance.

About friends.
About a gentle, intimate bond of friendship between two boys.
About how they confront the image of what a friendship between two men is supposed to look like.
About how it is difficult for men to be gentle with one another, because closeness and vulnerability are discouraged within male relationships, and how that affective restraint within homosocial settings pathologizes or sexualizes in order to safeguard the continuity of hegemonic masculinity.

In RO.MAN (14+), a writer puts the finishing touches on his first novel. In an attempt to bring his characters more to life, he asks a childhood friend to role-play excerpts from the book with him. The intimate friendship depicted in the novel serves as a mirror for the friends: what is standing in their way, what is different from the past, why are they no longer able to truly let each other in?

They wrestle with these questions.
But can that struggle not turn into a hug?

RO.MAN is a playful exploration of friendship, vulnerability, and connection. Through text, puppetry, humour, imagination, and—who knows—a spectacular movement phrase, this performance offers an alternative to the toughness expected of boys as they grow up.
