“Stories of Celluloid” is now showing at Taichung Museum of Fine Arts @taichungartmuseum .Huge thanks to curator Chow Ling-chih for her trust, and to the TCAM for their incredible support.Special thanks to Yin-Chiao @insanenjoy and Tien Zongyuan @tienzongyuan for building the exhibition space. The camphor distillery hut they hand-built providing a warm home for the footage of camphor distillation from the Taiwan Expo. The hut’s slanted roof invites the audience to lean back, relax, and continue the unfinished journey of camphor in Formosa, as captured in the 1920s Fox Movietone newsreels.Additional thanks to MIRC @uofsc_mirc and the TFAI @tfai_tw for their archival support and footages.Special thanks to the reliable team Shin-Yu @l.shinyu , for getting through all kinds of challenges together.This is my first exhibition at TCAM. A week in Phuket that felt both intense and unreal, a journey still unfolding. Grateful to be part of this year’s Thailand Biennale @thailand_biennale , where every venue lived with its own creatures, moved with its own season, and all carried the timeless sense of [Kalpa] Eternal.Thankful for all the new and familiar faces. 《南方宇宙博覽會：提案 XR版》是一場結合歷史研究、桌遊設計、多媒體XR體驗與提案討論的活動。你將回到1935年台灣博覽會的時空，透過遊戲、虛擬實境與集體提案思辨，一同思考人類世的環境與歷史敘事該如何被展演與再創。時間：8/15 (五) 15:00（內部測試場） 8/16 (六) 14:00（公開參與場）地點：鳳甲美術館（台北市北投區大業路166號11樓）本計畫源自吳其育和鄭文琦 rikey_c 的合作研究，由吳其育負責遊戲設計。黃鼎云 @huangdingyun 擔任團隊的戲劇顧問，為計畫提供各式奇想與表演性的建議。多媒體藝術團隊2ENTER @2enter.tw 擔任計畫中混合實境體驗（XR）的設計與製作。 by @wu__chiyu

At the Osaka Kansai Int’l Art Fest @study_okiaf , in partnership with Expo 2025, we presented the first-ever Japanese version of Southern Universe EXPO: The Proposal! With Japanese, English, and Mandarin all in the mix 🤣, plus perspectives from Myanmar, Nishinari, and different fields, we thought it would be a challenge. But the game wrapped up smoothly and right on time!Huge thanks to Yukawa San @yukawa_nakayasu and Fumihiko San for hosting the very first Japanese-language session! Also grateful to Yuto San @yutoyabumoto , Cafe Atariya @cafe.atariya.2025 @daisakuart @productionzomia , and the Nishinari neighborhood, such a unique place, a place rich with layered histories.Looking forward to seeing where the English and Japanese versions of the game might travel next!📍 If you’re interested, join us in August at the XR edition at Hong-Gah Museum! by @wu__chiyu

Southern Universe EXPO: The Proposal v.3 had its final test run with Rikey @rikey_c and Ding yun @huangdingyun before launching in KL at Rumah Attap @rumahattap84 and it went so smoothly!Even though many participants weren’t familiar with Taiwanese history, they connected to the game through local Malaysian issues. It was a meaningful experience to me. Hoping to bring the game to more places soon, next stop: Osaka! 🎲🌏Huge thanks to TheCube Project Space @thecube_space , Sow Yee’s @ausowyee Grilling Borders: 2024/2025 Art-Actor Network, and Rumah Attap for hosting us.Also joined the Traversing Parallel Forests talk with artist Syarifah Nadhirah @syarifahnadhirah , full of intresting and deep reflections. 🙏 by @wu__chiyu
