What if the goal isn’t to keep up with everything, but simply to feel at peace?

I’ve realised how much I need moments like these. Being surrounded by nature, listening to the sounds around me, watching the waves, trees or mountains, and just taking a breath. No deadlines, no expectations, no constant noise in my head.

Life can be stressful enough, and sometimes we get so caught up in the rush that we forget what it feels like to simply be at ease. But I don’t think we’re meant to live in a constant state of tension. There’s so much to be said for choosing a slower pace, protecting your peace and making room for the things that actually make you feel alive.

And if there’s one thing nature keeps reminding me of, it’s that not everything needs to be rushed.

What helps you find your peace?

The perfect 2-day Florence itinerary doesn’t ex-? Well, it does. Here’s how I’d spend 48 hours in one of Italy’s most beautiful cities. Save this list and come back later for your next trip.

Day 1: Start at Ponte Vecchio, one of the most iconic bridges in Italy, then wander through Piazza della Signoria and past the Uffizi Gallery. In the evening, head up to Piazzale Michelangelo for sunset. The view over Florence’s terracotta rooftops is worth every step uphill.

Day 2: Get up early and head straight to the Duomo before the crowds arrive. If you’re into photography, this is your chance to capture the incredible architecture without people in every shot. Afterwards, explore the Medici Chapels and visit the Basilica of Santa Croce before wandering through the streets of the Oltrarno neighbourhood. And of course, finish with a gelato from Gelateria La Carraia.

I’d recommend staying 2–3 nights in Florence. That gives you enough time to explore the highlights without rushing, while still leaving room to get lost in the little streets and discover places you hadn’t planned on visiting.

Have you been to Florence? What would you add to this itinerary?

Have you ever surfed?

I’ve tried it a few times, and while it’s incredibly fun, it’s also a lot harder than it looks. I think I’ll leave catching the waves to them and stick to photographing them instead.

There’s something about the surfing lifestyle that I really love. The connection to the ocean, the freedom, the patience of waiting for the perfect wave, and the way life seems to revolve around the tides rather than the clock. And Biarritz feels like the perfect place for it.

Maybe one day I’ll give it another try. Until then, I’m happy watching from behind the camera.

Would you rather be out there catching waves or on the shore capturing the moment?

How many photos do you have on your phone that you just can’t bring yourself to delete?

If you’re a photographer or simply love taking pictures, you probably know the struggle. My camera roll is full of beautiful places, little moments and memories I never want to lose. But all those photos take up A LOT of storage.

Here’s how I manage it.

I use iCloud to store my photos and optimise storage on my iPhone, so I can keep my photo library without everything taking up space on my phone.

For my photography files, especially RAW files and edited photos, I use external hard drives to keep everything backed up and organised.

After travelling so much and taking thousands of photos, the last thing I want is to lose any of those memories.

How do you manage your photo storage? I’d love to hear your tips.

What if I told you this fisherman isn’t actually fishing anymore?

As the first golden rays of sunlight hit the Li River in Yangshuo, China, this scene looks like something straight out of the past. A bamboo raft, cormorants perched along its edge, and the dramatic karst mountains rising in the background.

But today, many of these fishermen are paid models who reenact the traditional art of cormorant fishing for photographers and visitors. What was once a way of life has become a way to keep the tradition alive.

Still, there’s something magical about watching the morning light transform this landscape.

Would you wake up early to capture a moment like this?

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of chasing sunsets.

From one side of the world to the other, I always find myself stopping whatever I’m doing when the sky starts to turn golden. There’s something about watching the sun disappear below the horizon that makes me slow down and appreciate where I am.

Maybe it’s the colours, maybe it’s the feeling, or maybe it’s just knowing that no two sunsets are ever quite the same.

And honestly, I hope I never stop chasing them.

Where in the world have you seen your favourite sunset?

There are some mornings when getting out of bed at 4am suddenly feels completely worth it.

Throwback to this incredible sunrise above the clouds. I remember standing on that ridge, watching the first light roll across the mountains, with nothing but clouds beneath me. For a moment, I felt completely free. No plans, no noise, nothing but me and the mountains.

Moments like this are exactly why I force myself out of bed early for sunrise.

Would you get up this early for a view like this?

Is this the best place to watch the sunset in the Dolomites? The Seceda in Val Gardena is a 2,519-metre-high mountain in the Dolomites and one of the most popular destinations for tourists in the Dolomites. However, only few get to experience sunset up here. The reason being that the latest cable car down leaves at 5PM. So if you want to stay for sunset, you will have to hike down in the dark, which is what we did. And it was definitely worth it.

The way down is steep but safe as long as you bring yourself a flashlight and walk carefully. You’ll be exhausted by the end but the memories will stay forever.

Are you team sunrise or team sunset? I think I prefer sunrise. While I despise the waking up early part of it, it usually is really worth it. There’s fewer people, more time and it just feels very special to start a day by watching the sun slowly come up.

This photo was taken at Ponta de São Lourenço on Madeira, one of the best places to see the sunrise on the island and 100% worth waking up at 5:30 AM for.
