POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For my first time being interviewed in over three years, I had the honor of sitting down with the Founder and CEO of @aaccnj, #DrJohnEHarmon.

I’ve been interviewing so many movers & shakers, I forgot that I have a story to tell myself.

Thank you @tonedphotography for capturing this core memory moment for me and thanks to @nj1015 for hosting us.

It was truly an honor to cover @aaccnj #Juneteenth Innovation Expo. Peace to all of the founders and operators that conversed with me! My favorite part about being a journalist is that I get to learn from everyone that I interview.

Heres what I walked away with:
- Showing up is the whole game. The pitch can be perfected. You gotta walk through that door 1st!
- Reach back. Every seasoned founder in that room was already pulling someone up.
- Community is infrastructure.
- Own your narrative before somebody writes it for you.
- Proximity closes gaps. Connect with those that have ALREADY done what you’re seeking to do.
- Each one teach one.
- I love Philly… and Cherry Hill

FUND BLACK FOUNDERS.

The site is live... Let’s get to the money!

It took a crazy creative journey to get here. Even at the height of my rap career I felt unfulfilled because I knew I could do more to help people.

@westwardbeans tells your story. With #WestWardCapital we are making a calculated effort to close the wealth gap & get black businesses the funding they need to operate efficiently and to scale.

So whether your new to the grant space and need assistance with the entire grant lifecycle process or you’re experienced and simply need someone to source grants that you’re eligible for, we got you covered for that and more.

LET’S GET YOUR BUSINESS OR NON PROFIT FUNDED. #westwardbeans #systems #fundingstrategy #grantwriting taken in Newark, New Jersey by @wwcnj
