The artwork “Collection: Where am I now?” is not just an artistic portrayal of a sneaker collection but also a visual journal of my achievements so far and the most important piece in my final project for my diploma. The layered composition can be seen as a symbol of the complexity of my journey, where every layer or pair of sneakers builds upon the previous one, creating a whole piece that is rich and multi-dimensional. Each sneaker, in its own way, represents a reward for one of my accomplishments. The piece offers a highly dynamic depiction, combining elements of hyperrealism and pop art. The composition is densely layered, filled with intricate details and radiates a sense of energy and movement. This artwork stands as a testament to my growth as an artist, bringing together all the skills, techniques, and ideas I’ve developed over the years, while powerfully reflecting my passion and dedication. by @wwcreated

Sneaker legends: Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet”

The inspiration for my second painting was the iconic Nike Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet,” designed by Christian Tresser. Inspired by the futuristic design of Japanese high-speed trains, particularly the Shinkansen, the sneaker’s metallic silver color and streamlined silhouette reflect the aesthetic of these trains, capturing their cutting-edge technology and dynamic design. This sneaker is one of my all-time favorites, and its inspiration makes it even more special to me.
I wanted to blend graffiti, pop art, and hyperrealism to emphasize the Nike Air Max 97 Silver Bullet’s impact on fashion and urban culture. The graffiti background evokes the raw energy of street art, while pop art highlights the sneaker’s iconic status in both mainstream and counter-culture. taken in Academy of Fine Arts, Sarajevo by @wwcreated

Sneaker legends: Air Max 1 ‘86 “University red”

The inspiration for this painting is the first Air Max sneaker designed by Tinker Hatfield. I wanted to merge realism and graffiti art into a single, cohesive piece. The centerpiece of the painting is the iconic Air Max 1 ‘86 “University red”. Tinker Hatfield, the mastermind behind the Air Max 1, was struck with inspiration when he visited the Centre Pompidou in Paris. The building’s inside-out architecture, with its exposed structural elements, sparked the idea to showcase the Air unit in the sneaker, making the technology a visible part of the design. This blend of innovation and aesthetics is mirrored in the painting, where the realism of the sneaker stands out against the expressive, urban canvas of graffiti. The artwork celebrates the fusion of groundbreaking design and street culture, paying homage to the sneaker’s legacy and its deep roots in urban environments.
