A FILM WORTH SEEING. AN OPENING NIGHT WORTH DRESSING UP FOR.

On 5 November, the Women and the World International Film Festival opens at London’s Ham Yard Hotel with a special screening of LILLY, starring Academy Award nominee Patricia Clarkson. @lillymovie

Directed by Rachel Feldman, LILLY tells the true story of Lilly Ledbetter, an Alabama factory worker who discovered she had been paid less than her male colleagues for years. Her fight for justice went all the way to the US Supreme Court and helped inspire the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009. @womencallaction

It’s a story about one woman’s determination to challenge a system that treated her unfairly — and why that fight still matters today.

And there’s much more to the evening than the screening.

Join us for a black-tie Opening Gala at Ham Yard Hotel, with red carpet arrivals, drinks and canapés, the festival’s Opening Ceremony and an after-party.

An opportunity to enjoy an evening of cinema, meet fellow film lovers and connect with people working across the film industry.

THURSDAY, 5 NOVEMBER 2026
📍 Ham Yard Hotel, London
🕖 7 PM – 11 PM
🥂 Black Tie
