POV: you’re in VIP front row seating for the @wwpfashionshow 🪩✨

From red carpet interviews and an ambiance curated by the Grand Rapids Symphony Mosaic Scholars to set the tone, leading into speeches from Mayor Lagrand and Commissioner Marshall A. Kilgore, Grand Rapids, mesmerizing movement by the Michigan Ballet Academy, powerful poetry from Oluwafemi Toure, to showcases of incredible fashion designers, with an interactive presentation of Maivena Gaye’s artwork… This Mental Health Fashion Show Gala weaved fashion, art, and culture into a purposefully entertaining evening for the guests!

It was more than a fashion show.
It was a conversation that did not need words.
It was creativity in motion as a call to action.
It was amplifying a message that matters.

Because mental health matters. You, yes you, matter.

And we are so honored to be the chosen beneficiary.

Thank you Maivena and each individual who contributed to the curation, coordination, and collaboration to make this event possible. We cannot wait to be front and center again next year! 💚🩷

We wanted the sleeves to have a life of their own, and I love how the whole look came together. 💙

Grace, beauty, and purpose.
Thank you to @michigan_ballet for bringing Pachelbel’s Canon to life at Walk With Purpose. Your beautiful performance showed how deeply art can move us and bring us together. #walkwithpurpose #michiganballet #mentalhealthawareness by @wwpfashionshow

Walk with a purpose fashion show and gala ❤️
I’m waiting on the professional video still, but this is what I have🥰

There’s something about gold that catches the eye, but it’s the details that make you look twice. I love how the layered petals flow across this piece, especially those oversized sleeves. Bold, textured, and a little unexpected.

Drum Roll please!! Last weekend, our flowers walked the runway - for the first time (but certainly not the last) - and for a purpose beyond fashion and aesthetics. I’m still floating from the whole experience...creating botanical couture runway looks lit me up in a way that's almost indescribable.

As a former attorney who used to put in 70 plus hour workweeks, mental health awareness is particularly important to me. That’s why it was especially meaningful to have our pieces at the Walk with Purpose Mental Health Fashion Show Gala in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We styled preserved botanicals for a show built entirely around mental health awareness, and every single piece was made with that purpose in mind.

Proceeds from the evening benefited @benice.mi a groundbreaking organization doing real, meaningful work in mental health education and support.

Fashion has a wonderful way of getting people in the room... but that night, the conversation surrounding the fashion was the whole point. It was an evening full of community, creativity, and people taking care of each other, and I’m so proud we got to bring a little botanical beauty to it. I can't wait to share the pieces with you all up close! by @wwpfashionshow

André Gray: Roses Fade

Another piece from the WWP show this month

This rose embellished piece displays a beautiful transition from fully decked out fauna, degrading and cracking to reveal a beautiful sequin dress beneath.

The meaning behind this dress is that sometimes beautiful things have to break and disappear for something even more beautiful to take its place.
