Sold my soul on that 3rd squat attempt bc I messed up my bracing but it’s def in reach and then some with the way squat has progressed in training. Bench was moving fr and we were able to scoop up that ATPR on third attempt(s/o Zan for the perfect attempt call). And Deads have progressed slowly even with all the issues in prep. My quads really robbed me of that 3rd pull which would’ve chipped my last PR and bumped Deads +5keys from last comp. Overall I’m not mad about performance as I feel everything was in reach, def slightly under what I wanted but still somehow my best yet. I’m thankful and blessed to be able to love this sport and continue to get better and chip away at the big goal.

S/o to the @fightorquitgym fam for always holding it down and @micah_marino and @kr_ss for setting the standard so high and keeping it there for our meets. The elevation of this sport especially in Nevada has such a huge impact thanks to yall.

To my friends I’m lucky to call family and even some teammates I cannot thank yall enough for showing up and showing out for us every single time 🙏🏽🙏🏽

I finally got to compete W my brother @oni._.lifts and it’s about everything you’d expect. He set the table for everyone fr 🤝🏽⚔️

To my love, thank you for the support and efforts you put in. This was long overdue but you finally got to see me compete and for that I’ll be forever grateful 💙 by @wydbass

2024 Kane Classic Meet Recap 🤙🏽🤙🏽

An ALMOST picture perfect meet for me smh 🤣🤣 recently had a less than promising run at my last meet but still had a helluva time. Long story short after how horribly my first meet went I took a well needed year to build and came back to the platform 12 weeks before taking the platform here at the Kane Classic and we made great progress don’t get me wrong.. But this meet right here? This even tho I missed out on a couple key pieces I wanted was nearly perfect. I am beyond thankful for my Coach @_alekzander_ my squad over at Team Outwork ⚔️ and my gym @fightorquitgym for really helping me get over this hump and allowing me to execute beautifully. We went 8/9 on lifts and 2 All Time Personal Records in squat and deadlift 🗣️🗣️

Squat:
1st: 220kg // 485lbs ⚪️⚪️⚪️
2nd: 235kg // 518lbs ⚪️⚪️⚪️
3rd: 245kg // 540lbs ⚪️⚪️⚪️ (ATPR & SHOWN)

Bench:
1st: 142.5kg // 314lbs ⚪️⚪️⚪️
2nd: 152.5kg // 336lbs ⚪️⚪️⚪️ (SHOWN)
3rd: 160kg // 352lbs 🔴🔴🔴 (failed PR attempt)

Deadlift:
1st: 220kg // 485lbs ⚪️⚪️⚪️
2nd: 235kg // 518lbs ⚪️⚪️⚪️
3rd: 250kg // 551lbs ⚪️⚪️⚪️ (ATPR & SHOWN)

Weight Class: 100kg Open (3rd place 🫣🥉)
BW: 99kg // 218lbs
Total: 647.5kg // 1427lbs (6th best overall total in entire meet)
(New All Time PR total and 32.5kg meet total)
DOTS: 400 (first meet in the 400s 😈)

Huge thank you to @ukiyohawaii for hosting such a well organized meet, The spotters and loaders for taking care of everyone(especially you @ragasakage bc I didn’t notice how close I was to hitting him w my belt after my deadlift PR 🤣), and everyone I met along the way and made friends with during this meet 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 by @wydbass

2nd meet is officially in the books ⚔️

6/9 on lifts(idk if I even got full white lights on anything so I’m just gonna list my best lift for each 🤣)

Squat: 230kgs/507lbs
Bench: 140kg/308lbs
Deadlift: 245kg/540lbs

Total: 615kg/1355lbs 1st Place Men’s Raw Open 100kgs 🥇

Overall proud of this meet since it was night and day difference from my first meet but I underperformed on Squat and Bench by a big chunk. No excuses just gotta review, clean things up, and not deplete myself so much so I’m not cramping in between bench attempts bc we’re now 12 weeks out from the Kāne Classic on Oahu 🤣

Huge s/o to my Coach @_alekzander_ for guiding me thru the process and thank you to all my friends and fam for showing up or tuning in to watch me and Team Outwork kill it ⚔️⚔️

Also blessed to have shared the platform with my teammates @gymkunana (also his 2nd meet and 1st Place in Men’s Raw Open 90kg 🐐) and @vipjefff who took a risk and went all in for his first ever meet even getting a huge 20lb PR on Deads 🔥🔥 Along w/my teammates we also got to run it up with the @backalleybarbell Boys @_tristan.tucay @_benjamin.tucay @aj.kaufman03 for their USAPL debut and they killed it too 💪🏽💪🏽

Last but not least Huge thank you to @kr_ss and @micah_marino for always putting together an amazing meet!! The time and effort they put into hosting such successful meet days can’t and won’t go unnoticed 🙏🏽🙏🏽 by @wydbass

Jokes aside I’m back and back on platform on the 21st hehe ⚔️ truth be told this was an interesting prep post injury and I been in my head a lot. I forgot what the sport was about trying to get back where I know I should be and chasing the pre injury me but all in due time. I’m not late I’m in Gods timing 🙏🏽🙏🏽 by @wydbass
