@inktober Day 11 - Rescue

Still holding strong with these sketches however I feel I might have to take a break from it near the end. 🫪 It’s been a fun challenge so far so I’ll do as much as I can. A brave knight for today’s Rescue prompt

@inktober Day 10 - Mystical

Had some creative liberties with this one to research the life of the Italian religious mystic Catherine of Siena who was born, as a fellow Aries, on March 25 1347. Her extensive letter writing and engagement with Italian politics has been said to have been a big influence in Italian literature - becoming a saint in 1461.

@inktober Day 8 - Stinky

Did people bathe in the Medieval period? It’s been a misconception for years that people in the Middle Ages were dirty, flea ridden scrubbers, however the truth is far from these statements. So I drew this little fellow in his bath for today’s prompt for stinky

@inktober Day 5 - Smack

The word smack had a totally different meaning in Old English - meaning a distinct taste, smell or flavour. Today’s prompt inspired me to draw one of the oldest roses in England - The Apothecary Rose - which was used for its scent and flavour, aswell as in medicinal and culinary purposes within the Middle Ages.
