FINAL CURTAIN CALL

It’s officially been ONE WEEK since the closing of my last show of the year “home” and where do I begin?

I started this “While You Were Out” journey as a “I want to do this, so let’s try” and look how far it took me.

“home” was a originally written choreo-production play that centered around the journey of my own life, telling the story of leaving home and venturing through life’s unpredictable plans of love, grief and soul crushing interactions.

I wanted it to be a different experience and seeing the reaction I got, it was definitely something new.

God is so much bigger than what we think and he’s the first one I want to thank on this entire journey.

To my incredible cast, thank you for coming through and helping me bring this story to life. You guys held me down when I wanted to through in the towel.

To The Dundas for allowing a small island boy with big dreams to host this show.

To all of you for sharing and filling out both nights, omg, I’m still gagged.

This is just a small testament to the many amazing things I can do just by trying. I have no professional training by I love to learn and that has carried me many places.

this year has been nothing short of amazing and next year, God is about to do bigger things. I came from little old Crooked Island and people joked when they hard about my dreams and aspirations of being a star. I did at times too but I moved to Nassau and promise myself to try. A lot of people discredited me and that’s fine. They laughed and that’s fine. No journey is perfect and mines is far from it and that’s why I will keep going.

Ty B is here to stay. Google that.

It’s so much I would like to say but I’ll start off with Thank You.

Backyard Conversations, this past weekend was such a wonderful intimate experience and I’m so grateful to have people show up for me again.

Although a lot did not pan out exactly how it should, I do feel a slight embarrassment from that and it had little to no reasons to do with me. Being an artist is such a vulnerable moment and I’m still dealing with those emotions and knowing I have to extend grace to myself.

All in all, another moment to learn, and definitely a moment to grow and the love, laughs and genuine appreciation for my craft leaves me encourage

I appreciate all of you and Backyard Conversations is not done yet.

“While You Were Out” Act 1 recap.

So happy for the overwhelming support and love I’ve been receiving for the spoken word work I’ve been putting out🤍

Act 1 of While You Were Out was planned to be intimate show that allows me to interact with my audience and dive personally into my work.

It allowed me to have deeper conversation, laugh and even cried a bit.

I’m so grateful for having an audience that sees me and praying for bigger and better audience for upcoming shows.

God is Good.
God is great.
God is in control.

As new things are being workshop, we want to take a trip back to our show back in June, “Confessions Of A Wanna Be Romantic”.

Slated to be apart of our summer series, it unfortunately was our only show this summer due to unforeseen circumstances.

We are still forever grateful to have had the opportunity to exist and share work with everyone.

We are gearing up for our Christmas show, so stay tune.

“Memories Rewritten” was meant for Suicide Prevention Month.

It spoke to this underlying message of me being overtly successful but still fighting with myself and my suicidal thoughts.
