Today, the @x929calgary community came together to turn this last-minute fundraiser/fitness challenge idea into a great success.

Spurred on by over $8,500 of your donations (and counting!), Beckler’s Big Walk covered the entire length of Calgary from north to south, from a @shanehomes showhome in Esker Park NW to another in Legacy SE. That’s $8,500 to support @innfromthecold and the important work they do for families in Calgary facing homelessness.

50kms in 9hrs moving, 10hrs40 with breaks and stops (with some extra stats for those of you who do fitness tracking). I got to see parts of our beautiful city that I wouldn’t otherwise.

I had the very best company in @seannajefferson & @mckennabeckler, and support from @phelpsonair @mariah.mae @thechelsearoom keeping me on the air.

Thank you all. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be.

🎉 He did it! 50 km. 10 hours and 40 minutes. One city, north to south.

Congratulations to @beckler89 of @x929calgary on completing Beckler’s Big Walk across the entire length of Calgary, from our Esker Park NW show home to Legacy SE. 👏

He walked for a reason: to support Inn from the Cold, helping families in our community find safety and stability.

The walk is done, but the impact doesn’t have to stop here.

X Mornings hits the road on Friday as @beckler89 attempts to walk across the entire length of Calgary in support of @innfromthecold.

He plans to walk between @shanehomes show homes in Esker Park NW and Legacy SE, a distance of approximately 42 kms (or an entire marathon!)

@seannajefferson will be joining for part of the trek, and they’ll be hosting the show remotely along the route.

Well..? Are ya ready for “One Wedding Only”..? After 14 years… I’m ENGAGED! And yes, I was proposed to while wearing a Wendel Clark jersey. 🤣 How Canadian.

But we first met in Regina through hockey, and Vegas has been our meet up place since our long-distance journey started - so it’s only fitting it was outside the Vegas arena in hockey jerseys.
