Okay, let’s talk about it.

This is the full timeline of how I got scammed by an industry producer I used to look up to. @pyrexwhippa

6/12/2025 - Pyrex posted that he was thinking about quitting music and was doing deals for features and beats, working with all budgets. I had always wanted to work with Rex for years so I hit him up to show genuine love, and he gave me his number to send beats. He told me to send the $200 on Cash App. The second I did, he stopped replying on IG and through iMessage. I haven’t talked to him since then.

7/31/2025 - Pyrex posts on his story to hit his manager @jcush__ for any business. It had been over a month and I was already frustrated. I hit up Jamie and he was nothing but professional, promising to get back with Pyrex for my feature every time I asked about it, and apologizing every single time as well. I was still holding out hope until…

10/16/2025 - Pyrex posts on his story saying he needs new management, implying that he had fired Jamie before I ever got the feature I paid for. I tried to hit him and @jcush__ several times after this, to which of course I received no response.

I’m more sad than angry that he would do me or anyone like this. I remember being so down bad back in 2020, barely being able to afford food, no car, no license, my mom and dad facing health issues, and I was listening to Blood on the Hills for the first time on the MARTA bus, back before I even started making beats. Your music helped me get through hard times.

It’s crazy how you’ve gone from an inspiration to a disappointment.

Based on my research after the fact, I’m definitely not the first nigga to get scammed by Rex, but I’m doing what I can to make sure nobody else faces the same problems. by @xaeneptune
