Gratitude journal. Day 10. Sofija and the Dog 🐕 . The friendship between them. This is something I cannot describe in words. Sofija asked us for a dog for a very long time. But we both (me and my husband) agreed, that this is not a time. Too big responsibility. 3 small kids and a dog?! No way…. But she kept asking. Dreaming about a dog. Drawing dogs. Drawing herself with a dog… She was the one taking care/being interested in every dog she met. And then, one day, @laurryyytukas and @tomasbla agreed and gave us much more than just an animal. They gave us a friend. Another family member who loves to cuddle but needs own space as well. The most patient dog you can imagine - especially to our kids showing her their love all the time. Gratitude journal. Day 9. My happy place. Ramybės oazė I would say in Lithuanian. My kids room. The place where we usually spend our evenings, last moments of the day. Reading - no matter how tired we all are, this is a must ritual before going to bed. My kids have for sure more books than I have. Thank to us they love reading. And since Saturday I finally have this cosy and amazing color Dyvlinge swivel armchair that I dreamt about where I can seat comfortably, read and wait until they calmly fall asleep. So grateful for having these moments that I sometimes don’t even notice or even complain about… this is what tiredness means - not seeing these good and precious moments. And always enjoying and still in love with the wall that looks so wonderful thanks to @k0.za ❤️ now the fox has acquired completely new, even more vivid shade of orange. Gratitude journal. Day 8. My son. I love him a lot. Sometimes maybe too much even. Though he annoys me also not less. And what annoys me most about him are all my worst traits I see in him. He is like a merciless mirror. And if something was promised - you can do anything - he will still remember and expect this will be done. Same was today. He found his new favorite spot in town where he can ride his new scooter. And we promised him that if the weather will be nice, we can come here in the evening. And so it was almost 7 PM… but he remembered that we promised. And we came… and he has so much fun. We have just had some ice cream, decaf coffee… and I just seat, look at him. How grown he already is. How similar to me. Gratitude journal. Day 7. Today will be about TRUST. I got this message from one of our clients. I have been working with them since October. I remember when I came and we had a first video call - I heard some kind of disappointment in this person’s voice that my colleague left and I’m the new one, replacing her. She was treating me for a while like I don’t know much, I don’t have the understanding about THE things. And here we are - 7 months later, she tells me that she can send me some confident info, because SHE TRUSTS ME. I think this is one of the best compliments I got at work. Gratitude journal. Day 6. I have this one special friend. Not that the rest of my friends are not special, but this one is let’s say - extraordinary. She is 74, well known Lithuanian actress. We were neighbors for few years and our friendship started because of my children. She was visiting us quite often back then (especially in COVID times), bringing fruits, sweets..talking,sometimes reading to my kids. Now we live not just upstairs and we meet each other less. But it’s still so good to have Her, to receive her calls, listen to her stories, when she is sharing some life experience, telling me to enjoy and appreciate the life I have because it’s so beautiful…and all this with blood pressure monitor and cigarettes smoked one by one… but how will you explain 74 year old actress that it’s not good for her health?! Gratitude journal. Day 5. I moved to Lithuania in 2015. Qbis was my first serious job here. I remember when I was invited for the interview and I wanted to reschedule it because of some mountain trip. I was afraid back then that it will ruin my chance to get hired. And now here I am - after almost 10 years and 3 kids later. After a veeeery long maternity leave and home manager’s full time role I “came back” to Hire Abroad - my “new” home with some of the old inhabitants. Fully remote option. With team building meetings online, presenting personal maps, working with sometimes 3 kids and Netflix in the background - sounds impossible - it turns out that impossible exists only in our heads. Gratitude journal. Day 4. Today in Lithuania we celebrated Mother’s Day. My kids didn’t greet me with flowers, any gifts… someone forgot to remind them what the day it was. But I guess I learn more and more to appreciate their smiles, kind words, simply - them being MY KIDS instead of getting “things”. And today was about appreciation a lot - for time to do sports in the morning. For having fun outside with 🫧 when it was raining. For celebrating birthday with the loved ones. For getting flowers from strangers because I’m a MOM. For unplanned great Pawlik’s Duo concert. And for good relation between my dad and my husband - especially when it’s about some housework that needs to be done. Finally - after 3 years of living in this house, some pictures/art found its place on the wall. No filters used here - the pictures are far from perfection. But it’s the same as my life is. Gratitude journal. Day 3. Yesterday I went out with my girl friends - mom’s night out it was. I didn’t take any picture as there was no time/no need to do this. Today I woke up with a slight headache, thanks to @sarah.laoubi and @pola_z_opola 🍷 but I still had enough energy to clean the house and do some postponed tasks… and now my kids are upstairs. Together with their grandparents and dad. And I can seat on the couch. With a book. In silence (more or less👧🏼🧒🏼🧒🏼). And READ. Who has kids - understands how not easy it is to find time and energy and do such simple activities like this… and I do enjoy it SO much. And I’m grateful. For having friends. For amazing grandparents that my kids have. For comfortable couch. Gratitude journal. Day 2. So I woke up and went 🏃‍♀️. I came back to sports for real after last summer. And I didn’t expect how much it will give to my head - body is the side effect I would say, but how my head rests during sports - amazing. I had break with running, but today I woke up and went. The forest and birds singing were amazing.
