It has been 7 years already living in my father’s land, it’s been quiete a lot of an intense journey, not fully accepted/ belonged or even in me allowed innerly to be from here as I was born and lived in Madrid till my latest 23rd. But the older you become the less you care about anything you once were afraid from and struggled and you just survive the daily routine and purpose of it. My journey to become a photographer is still there, even tho I see it year by year more difficult to be part of it’s journey, don’t know how innerly I still have hope, but my dad and I still have it together to fulfill it. As our beloved David Hockney said in its sayings; The mind is the limit. Wait, for now. Distrust everything if you have to. But trust the hours. Haven’t they carried you everywhere, up to now? Personal events will become interesting again. Hair will become interesting. Pain will become interesting. Buds that open out of season will become interesting. Second-hand gloves will become lovely again; their memories are what give them the need for other hands. The desolation of lovers is the same: that enormous emptiness carved out of such tiny beings as we are asks to be filled; the need for the new love is faithfulness to the old. Wait. Don’t go too early. You’re tired. But everyone’s tired. But no one is tired enough. Only wait a little and listen: music of hair, music of pain,music of looms weaving our loves again. Somebody told me grief is the door and not the room. I had spent most of my life thinking each entrance, each slight interstice in the walls was an invitation for darkness.
