When it comes to fishing sometimes you need to do what is necessary, like for instance when this hound shark rapped my line around a rock and I had to wade out to avoid getting cut off. • • • #Fishing #saltwaterfishing #ocean #sharkfishing #SouthAfrica by @xandre_zlf

Always a special moment and feeling when releasing a fish like this, or any fish for that matter. • • • #ocean #fishing #sharkfishing #assassin_anglers #saltwaterfishing by @xandre_zlf

Had a fun weekend from scratching for kobbies to catching cuttlefish in the river. • • #Fishing #Kob #Cuttlefish #lighttacklefishing #SouthAfrica by @xandre_zlf
A day to remember!! Over the past few weeks the Bronze Whaler sharks have been huge numbers along the Southern coastline. These large sharks are probably considered as the ultimate tackle testers amongst South African shore anglers!! • • @xander_zoo_lookfishing @phillipliversage @assassin_anglers #fishing #saltwaterfishing #sharkfishing #landbasedfishing #Southafrica by @xandre_zlf

What a day!! The weather lined up perfectly for the bronze whaler! We walked about 3,5km down the beach and from the very first cast it was absolute chaos! My first cast a hooked a large bronzy, but unfortunately lost it close by due to another bronzy that swam into my mainline! Next cast I managed to land a 80kg class bronzy! Thereafter I hooked into a decent fish and right from the start I knew this was a solid bronzy! After a long and hard fight I managed to land a 232cm PCL measurement bronzy! This shark was really big and had a huge girth! We admired her, took some photos and measurements, then safely released her again. • • • @phillipliversage @xander_zoo_lookfishing @quintinliversage @heinrich.karg @zarakleynhans @owen_crozier56 @assassin_anglers • • #Fishing #Sharkfishing #saltwaterfıshing #southafrica #landbasedfishing by @xandre_zlf
