BOOK REVIEW

“His Accidental Duchess”
By Sally Vixen

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️🌶️

This book is a historical romance set in the Regency era. The story revolves around a young woman, who unexpectedly becomes a duchess after a series of mistaken events. When she is thrust into an arranged marriage to a brooding and enigmatic duke, the two must navigate the complexities of their new roles in high society.

I personally enjoyed this read. Very entertaining and was not slow. The sexual tension is great and doesn’t take too long to get spicy. It happens just when you are needing it. Sally has a lot of other books in this same genre. I’m currently reading another one of her books and I’m loving it.

📚BOOK REVIEW📚

Assistant to the Villain
By Hannah Nicole Maerer

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️

Evie Sage is in search for a new job. With her dad who is very ill and her little sister who is solely depending on the success of her sister, Evie is determined to find one.
Luckily for her the kingdoms designated bad guy is hiring. The Villain has a vendetta out for the king and needs a personal assistant to help with his day to day evilness.

Spending so much time together makes it difficult not to fall for one another.

Can they keep things professional and still have a friendship?

Go buy this book right now. It’s funny, witty, sarcastic and just all around a joy to read. You get romance, action, drama and mystery.
The characters carry the story so well. You can’t help but love each one. The banter between characters is my favorite.

Ps. There is slow burn. Zero spice. So my smut friends, don’t get too excited.

📚BOOK REVIEW📚

Serpent & Dove
By Shelby Mahurin
@shelbymahurin
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️🌶️

This is a book I just picked up because it was part of a BOGO at Barnes & Noble. Let me tell you, I’m so glad I bought it.

Lou and her friend Coco are thieves and witches in the land of Belterra. Lou, having escaped a terrible fate and now living in hiding, is now on the run from the kingdoms witch hunters, The Chasseurs.
Reid is an orphan who was taken in by the Archbishop who trained him to be the most loyal and faithful of the Chasseurs. Being Captain of the Chasseurs comes great responsibility. Killing witches is the ultimate goal.
But when Lou and Reid are forced to come together their whole world is flipped upside down.

This was a FANTASTIC read! You get all the feels in this book. The romance to me is spot on. @shelbymahurin does a great job with keeping a slow burn but not so much that you are racing through the book to find out when they kiss.
It is also written in a dual perspective of Lou and Reid. Which I LOVE!

Highly recommend! Perfect for Halloween season too!
I’m off to buy the second one now.

📚BOOK REVIEW📚

Flock
By Kate Stewart
⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Ok here is another one I quite enjoyed. For the most part. Because of the secret ravenhood- anytime questions were asked they always responded with very vague answers and it started getting annoying. But it definitely keeps you in the story because you just want to know more. It also keeps you thinking like Cecelia.

A very lucky girl is all I’m going to say. 🤤🌶️

But other than that small detail I was rather pleased. I’m a sucker for fairytale retellings and I like the way Kate Stewart turned Robinhood into this badass story.

Definitely should read.

The Stand-In
By Lily Chu
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️

This is was such a good read. Gracie is such a great character and I loved her personality soo much! I found us to be very similar and I related to her in some ways and how she deals with her problems.

The story is very sweet and funny. Not as predictable as I thought which was refreshing.
Especially for a story with some romance.

Definitely recommend
