The spark was there from the very first moment we met. We found in each other the best friend we never knew we needed. The road that brought us here is something only the two of us will ever fully understand, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. The best of us, the best of each other, the best of memories—and it’s only the beginning. We can’t wait for the next chapter of this story together. 💍🤍🥂

I didn’t set a goal to lose 100 lbs in 7 months. I set an objective to be a better version of myself, and went after that. Goals can make you feel like a failure if you don’t reach them, or even worse, they can make you complacent when you do. Objectives give you something to constantly strive for.

In June, I decided it was a time for change and to get uncomfortable. I decided I was going to move cities, but also not wait until I got there to start chasing that objective. Didn’t need a trainer, didn’t need an accountability partner. I knew the motivation and discipline was always inside of me. This was personal. Extremely personal.

I traveled, had fun, met new people, and had a lot of new experiences. I’m young, I wasn’t gonna stop living my life, but I never lost sight of the mission. Truthfully, when you’re this locked in on yourself, nothing can knock you off besides you. Simply wasn’t an option for me. I watched myself bounce back from setbacks and break through plateaus with no one else around. I worked out sore, in pain, injured, etc. I didn’t make excuses and just showed up for myself.

Every. Single. Day.

I hardly took pics and videos along the way, I wasn’t trying to prove anything to anybody but myself. Those who truly know me, know I’ve never been the type to talk about it…I just do it. However, I’ve been asked numerous times what I did to get to this point. I’ve also been reminded by those closest to me that while I didn’t do this for anybody else, it is not a small feat and could help motivate and inspire other people. So, I decided to record what my morning workout routine has looked like for the last few months.

June 2022 ➡️ December 2022

Weight: 320 lbs ➡️ 218 lbs
Shirt: 3XL ➡️ Large
Waist: 46 ➡️ 36
(RIP my closet.)

My heaviest weight was 396 lbs in Nov 2020. Loose skin just comes with that. Annoying? Yes. Will I get it removed? We’ll see. The human part of me sometimes wonders what my body would look like without it. For now, it’s a reminder. Ultimately, not too concerned about it. Because I’m still Him…and I’m not even finished.
