I had the huge privilege of being the animation lead on the Gorillaz short film THE MOUNTAIN, THE MOON CAVE AND THE SAD GOD, a masterpiece of music and 2D hand-drawn animation.

Many thanks to @theline and directors @maxtaylordesign and @timccourt for having me on board for this adventure, and congrats to the wonderful, dedicated team of 2D animators I had the chance to work with to make it happen so beautifully : @pierrerutz_animation @robineide_art @yagizmisirli @felipea.nimation @jamiemerry0 sarahd horne @iamsergioman @linenwing @gaellethierry @gusta_ncor

And, of course, thanks and congrats to the entire production team, the incredibly talented BG and art team led by the overwhelmingly talented @edoyannyan , and all the wonderful folks in the clean-up and compositing teams.

We can't show any WIP, and I don't have that much to show individually; I animated a few little shots myself and did some layout posing, but I mainly spent my time helping the animation team and directors, working more or less on almost all the shots of the film.

During all August, we’ve been working hard at @suncreaturestudio to create two new films for @brawlstars . It was a lot of fun but a lot of hard work for everyone since each film is 1 min long and the animation for each one of them has been done in only 2 weeks !
Here you’ll find the two films (I just cut the live action part on Mina, but go watch that in full quality on YouTube!) and some exemples of what I did as a supervising animator, even if most of my work is hard to show since it’s a lot of talkings, organisation, preparation, helping the animators to follow models, perspective, anim style, director’s and client’s notes and a lot of other things like that.
I was pretty busy but I was happy being able to animate some things here and there, like run cycles references on Surf and a fun lucha shot on Mina. At the end of the production, since I had a bit more time, I helped @crispy_star on her very cool dance shot by addressing a client note on turning a booty shake into a throw it back, and that was a lot of fun making Spike a sexy cactus
And, since I tend to give the same tip to each animators, I did a recap of some drawing tips for animators and clean up artists to help everyone working in the same direction.
I wanted to send huuuuuuge thanks and hugs to the amazing team of animators l’ve been working with: @_alain.vu_ @felipea.nimation @iamsergioman @crispy_star @bengt.illustration and @ugo.offner

I was very happy to once again join forces with all the great people of @suncreaturestudio to craft this new fun short film for Supercell and @brawlstars.

As the animation supervisor, I was in charge of helping the director and the all team to prepare the animation process and then to lead and help all the animators to be in the same style, quality and schedule.
So here’s the final film, one shot I’ve been able to animate, layout drawings and some animation draw overs.

✨✨I want to thank the all animation team @felipea.nimation , @iamsergioman , @bengt.illustration @mrshuaa and @peter.lowey , and everyone in the team ! Once again a very fun ride with you all ✨✨

✨✨✨I was very lucky to lead the animation on this beautiful piece we did with all the so talented people of @thelineanimation for @leagueoflegends and ne @riotgames. A huge thank to @samtayloranimation and @pedro_antoine for their great directing and to the brillant character animators @_alain.vu_ and @mr.ubach , and to @saskiagutekunst for the wonderful layout posings ✨✨✨

Here are the shots I had a lot of fun to animate beside being lead animator on this crazy fun commercial for @life360, with the wonderful people of @feralchild.tv.
It’s not that common to be able to push our animations, specially in a Disney spoof inspiration ! So thanks a lot to our great director @nellaphnt and everyone for giving me this opportunity ✨
And the last video is an example of my job as a lead to help the animators go in the same direction (here with this epic shot from @bishoygendi ). by @xavierramonede

Has the supervising animator on Outlaw for @clashroyale and @supercell, I spent most of my time helping the animators on the layout posings and the animations, but hopefully I was able to animate one shot and to make drawings on most of the layout posings.
So here’s a bit of what I’ve done ✨

I was very happy to supervise the character layouts and animation in this great film for @clashroyale and @supercell, with once again the great people of @suncreaturestudio ✨
It was a lot of fun having to draw and animate this fun cartoony characters !
