A little piece of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying from a few months ago🎭. The guy in the blue suit😂💙. Every time I step on that stage, I’m reminded why I love this craft. There’s something about becoming a character, telling a story, and connecting with an audience that never gets old. Theater has given me a foundation. It’s taught me discipline, confidence, timing, presence, and how to commit to a character. As Denzel Washington said “Acting is a privilege and a gift.” And I’m grateful to God in Jesus name for allowing me to continue doing something I truly love. Now I’m taking everything I’ve learned and continuing to build toward film and television. 🎬 I’m not rushing the process. I’m building.

One role.
One audition.
One opportunity.
One performance at a time.

Another trip back down memory lane. ✈️📸 I was only 14 in these pictures! And the first picture I took was when I was 9 years old but it’s just a baby face in a brotha😂✊🏾. These were memories from my Boy Scout trip to Anchorage, Alaska. I got to camp, pitch tents, cook my own food, hike through the mountains, experience Alaska’s crazy daylight/darkness cycles, learn about different cultures, and see a part of the country I had only dreamed about.
Boy Scouts, church and theater were 3 of the things my mom and dad got me involved in that kept me focused, in school, and out of the streets. I’ll forever be grateful for that. And especially my dad he instilled a work ethic in me that I still carry today Learn, Work and then have fun💯!!! Because of those opportunities I was blessed to travel to places like Memphis, New York, Chicago, Colorado, California, Portland, Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Missouri, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, and so many more. Growing up in Louisiana, I know how blessed I was to see the world beyond my backyard. Looking at these pictures reminds me that I’ve been blessed with incredible experiences, family, and opportunities and I never want to take any of it for granted.
Thank you Jehovah in Jesus name for every memory, every lesson, and every door that has opened🙏🏾. And this journey isn’t over yet. I’m just getting started✈️🌎 by @xavierwithpurpose

Happy Birthday Dad 🎊🎉 Today we celebrate an incredible man who has been one of the biggest influences in my life. Thank you for raising me, guiding me, and loving me. Even those times you had to smack a little sense into my head helped shape me into the man I’m becoming today. One of the greatest lessons you and Mom taught me has stayed with me everywhere I’ve gone. I’ve traveled to 18 states, and no matter where I am, I remember your words: “You get more flies with honey than vinegar,” and “Treat people the way you want to be treated.” Those lessons have opened more doors for me than I can count. Dad you have been a great father not only to me but also to Robert, Ingram, and Keith. Thank you for loving us, guiding us, and always doing your best to lead by example. Your patience, wisdom, and strength have left a lasting impact on all of our lives. Thank you for showing me the importance of kindness, respect, humility, and treating everyone with dignity. Your wisdom continues to guide me every day. I love you, Dad. May Jehovah God continue to bless you with good health, joy, peace, and many more birthdays to come. Wednesday was definitely a day I’ll never forget.

I was closing down at work when I made a sharp turn in the golf cart. My foot got caught on a curb then went underneath the cart and re-aggravated the same area where I broke my foot back in 2018 from a skating accident. I limped through the rest of my shift before heading to the emergency room.

The ER visit lasted about three hours. I stayed pretty calm the whole time… until the doctor walked in. That’s when the nerves kicked in.

She asked, “Mr. Johnson, do you want the good news first or the bad news?”

I looked at her and said, “Doctor… I broke it, didn’t I?”

She replied, “No, you did not break it. You have a sprain in the same area as your previous injury. The good news is your foot isn’t broken. The bad news is you’ll need to wear a brace and stay off of it for about a week.”

I can’t even describe the relief I felt hearing those words.

I also want to thank my coworker for letting my boss know what happened, and my boss for calling to check on me and telling me to take all the time off I need. That kindness meant a lot.

Lesson learned: Keep BOTH feet inside the golf cart while driving. 😂⛳️

I never take life for granted because tomorrow isn’t promised. I’m beyond thankful that Jehovah protected me and that my foot wasn’t broken. All glory to Jehovah through Jesus Christ🙏🏾!!! Now it’s time to rest, heal, and come back stronger💪🏾🙏🏾 by @xavierwithpurpose

From backstage to stepping back on stage 🎭
Came in tonight ready to run sound and help backstage like always and left rehearsal with a role. Grateful for the opportunity to play the Company Policeman in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
14 productions in and still learning, still growing, still showing up.
Small role, big responsibility!!!

Just left the theater and I’m honestly speechless. Seeing Jaafar Jackson step into his uncle’s shoes was such a beautiful, full-circle moment. You can tell he put his whole heart into this to honor Michael’s legacy. God rest his soul the King of Pop’s spirit is definitely alive in this film. 🕊️👑

Wow… time really flies. 🙏🏾

This was us back in 2007 at Cypress Point Elementary with my 3rd grade class. Looking at this picture now, it’s crazy to see how far we’ve all come in life. So many memories, laughs, and moments I’ll never forget. Man, we really used to be out there having backflip competitions at recess like it was the Olympics 😂 no-hands and everything… good times for real. I’m grateful I still get to see and keep up with a lot of y’all to this day. Life took us in different directions, but the bond and memories still there. Rest in peace to one of my friends from this class Jamonese “Jay” Hudson 🕊️ gone too soon but never forgotten. You were real, kind, and always yourself Much love always. Shoutout to Mrs. Brandi Townsend for being a great teacher and pushing us we all really hit our accelerated reading goals in that class 💯
