Aren't you tired of this feeling stuck loop? Here's how to finally put yourself on the right path and start earning what you deserve.

I had to learn it the hard way. As a multi passionate artist I've been trying dozens of paths and my never finished projects cemetery is out of free space. Going from wanting to be a concept artist to dreaming about game ideas and learning programmation, every year has been filled with abandoned promising projects. RIP the many Unreal and Blender courses I started to record. RIP the youtube breakdown videos of some nice looking scenes I did. And this was putting me in the toxic loop of self doubt, guilt, and low self esteem.

Here's the best first step to change your life and stop quitting.

Start by knowing yourself.
Self-awareness is the foundation of success and commitment. Do a personnality test. Analyze your characteristics, your natural talents, the way you're wired, your strengths and weaknesses. Analyze your interests. When you know your values, personality and why you love certain passions and hobbies, your decisions align with your true self and puts you on the right path.

Go deeper.
In a world of instant answers and surface-level knowledge, the ability to go deeper is invaluable. Taking the time to research, question, and truly understand allows you to uncover layers of meaning and insight that others overlook. Depth creates expertise and authenticity. It’s the difference between merely participating and truly excelling. When you commit to going deeper, you develop a more profound connection and meaning to the things that matter.

Do it with love.
Being aligned makes you authentic. Authenticity attracts the right opportunities. When you’re in tune with who you are, you build connections and a life that feels meaningful and less a struggle, which let you commit on the right path and stop quitting everything you try.

It is the 1st day of January 2025. TAKE ACTION. There's no better time to start. Take the time to research about yourself seriously. Do yourself that gift. Clarity in identity leads to clarity in action. Knowing yourself reduces fear, helps you navigate challenges and stay resilient. by @xaviwanderboy

Since I was teenager, my dream was to be a 3D artist and travel the world. But here’s something you have to learn if you're dreaming big : the things and love we already have are priceless.

I left home at 17 when I got my school diploma. I couldn't wait to leave the family nest. When I started my journey, I thought happiness was in the next destination or the next school and big city. I spent 4 years in the army, and after that 6 years studying again and getting 2 more diplomas in design and architecture. During that time, when I would rarely visit my parents, grandma and uncles, I would never really enjoy spending time with loved ones and familiar comforts, and I would never be conscious of the richness of those relationships.

In 2015, my uncle died from generalized cancer after 3 month in the hospital. I was still studying in another city and I didn't take time to come visit him often. Thinking about it now, my behavior at the time feels sad, and it caused me afterwards regrets and guilt, growing in the shadows of my mind. But I was busy with studies, travels and friends.

In 2018, right after graduation from architecture school, while traveling in Korea for the 3rd time, my dear grand uncle died. For this time, I couldn't assist the funeral because I chose to stay in Korea. Losing him was the event that let my inside pain get out in the light, and for years I regretted not spending more time with my family. Now I have only my parents left and they're aging.

Here are three lessons about appreciating what you have:

1. Cherish your loved ones. The people around you are often a great source of joy and strength—don’t take them for granted, life can be cruel and they can leave anytime. They're not eternal, and time passes fast. Put away the smartphone. Get to really know your parents, friends, and family. Ask them about their past, take care of their health, enjoy them for who they are.

As a digital nomad 3D artist, I've been traveling a lot in the last 6 years. From outside it can feel the dream life, but here’s something I learned the hard way: rest and disconnection are essential.

When I was just starting out, I thought I had to work nonstop to succeed. I would accept sometimes 3 jobs at the same time, stacking late nights of work and exhausting 18 hours workdays. Skipping weekends. Skipping naps. Skipping free time. But burnout hit hard many times. It actually took me 4 years to understand how energy and importance of rest work (coco19 made it quite hard to feel free traveling, right?)

In 2022, after 6 months of accepting freelance jobs non stop, I collapsed. I was in a deep dark mental state and I completely stop everything. It took me months to let the pain and tiredness feelings go. After this difficult period I decided to take more small trips there and there, leaving my laptop behind. Disconnecting, breathing in nature, having sunny breaks, gave me more clarity, joy and energy than I’d felt in months.

Here are three lessons I learned about avoiding burnout through rest and short trips:

1. Small breaks make a big difference. Even a day trip can recharge your creativity and help you return to work with a fresh perspective. I noticed that 2 and 3 days trips are really ideal monthly if you don't have holidays.

2. Disconnection is productivity. Turning off your devices for a while gives your mind the peace it needs to breath. In reward it will spark an amazing creativity with new ideas and insights, clarity and dreams from your soul.

3. Inspiration often comes from genuine discovery. Exploring new places, switching to a road you never took, even close to home, sparks ideas you wouldn’t find sitting at your desk.

Remember, rest isn’t a luxury—it’s an essential for mental health and a key for your growth. Take the time to disconnect, and you’ll come back happier every time.
