#JKMarchMadness @jaquelknight @jkmarchmadness - Round 1

I have no idea what to write for this caption lmao. There’s just so much to say about the cast, the song, the concept, the partner work challenge, and the process as a whole. Competition aside, I really enjoyed making this, and I hope that you enjoy it too.

“FAMILY TIES”, from CAVIAR by @shavarblackwood

Shot by: @like.lasagna & team
Edit & Colour: @xavtu

Put out my first live stage piece in years, and had the honour of doing it at Caviar alongside choreographers that were instrumental to both my journey and that of many people in the Toronto scene 🤞🏽

Not to be forgotten - this cast consisted of some of my favourites in the city (and on Earth lol). Thank you all for your hard work and diligence 🔋 by @xavtu

“WHEN THE LAST TIME”
Back in October, I had the pleasure of getting some of my favourite dancers from Toronto & Vancouver together to put a piece together in 4 days for @welcometothemainevent ⚡️Bare appreciation for all of them! Respects to @kennonnn for the opportunity to put work on stage and for putting on a great show. Fun fact: out of the entire cast, only @jadrianzvee is actually from Vancouver lmao

One day, @jmanabatoriginals told me he wanted to shoot something. I thought I was just gonna dance or set choreography, and then he sent me some interview questions 😂 This whole experience was a lot of fun, and I’m grateful for everyone involved. On top of being great at what they do, they’re also just straight up good human beings!

#JKMarchMadness Top 8 - @jaquelknight @jkmarchmadness

For those not following the competition, this round was all about a live performance submission for Dua Lipa. By far one of the most fun rounds! This competition is really stretching me creatively, and I’m grateful af for that 🙏🏼
